I feel weird about this. I don't LOVE Mother I'm Here (AKA Setting Sail, Coming Home), but it's usage within Bastion is pretty much perfect. I also loved the SotD and Solar 2 soundtracks, but no one song is good enough to nominate over the others. Overall, my answers are a compromise.

On the plus side, This thread has reminded me how great the Solar 2 soundtrack is! I wrote a review, you should read it. And then buy the game.

Runner Up: I feel a bit cheap for using this as it's technically it's based on a theme that's 4 years old, but... Theme of Amaterasu,  Marvel vs. Capcom 3

SSCH affected me more than any video game song ever. If I could give it 3 points and skip the runner up, I'd do it.

My vote will hardly count as I am picking a song from Skyrim that isn't the main theme and another from a game I have yet to play but listened to from youtube and thought it was real nice. Well here goes:

Why did I not pick Sons of Skyrim for this instead? For me personally, its ambient nature complimented the opening hours of the game so well that it effectively brought the environment to life the moment it played for me. I still really love Sons of Skyrim though and man overall another great year for game music.
