Good idea for iPhone but don't worry those without, Flash 10 is coming in October to Nokia, Palm, Google, and Microsoft phones so you can view the site as was intended on your mobile.
There really is only so far that you guys can raise the bar on these insane videos until viewers heads start exploding and there's a class action lawsuit.
I guess there isn't much hope for a Windows Mobile (or any other) version of the app.... after all they'd be free... but I'll make you a deal: Make one anyway and I'll send you $10!
Lol. I had a hard time suppressing my laughter here in the office. Especially with Ryan doing his fart noise and then Jeff just bursts out laughing in the background. bought it, applied it to my head, loving it. but two bits fo feedback. 1. there is no image preview of movie files just a little blue question mark, it was pretty obvious from the context of the paragrap above that this was the video but maybe something to do for version 1.o1
2. embedded youtube does not work. I know for legal or ethical or laziness, some breaking news videos like the Wii HD are youtube reposts, but it doesn't work with the appa nd won't pass the request off to the native youtube player on the phone, not sure if you could put a link or the key search words below the video so we can check it out ourselves?
Also and this is more curiosity, how big in comparative terms are the video? an average persona 4 runs between 100-400meg on low res should I be expecting the same on the iphone?
Just spent my $2 and bought it. I like the news/reviews interfaces especially. Very smooth. Congrats to your dev guys, I think they nailed the user interface.

Thanks I forgot to mention that one, maybe if when the iphone is tilted on it's side it wen t into landscape mode this would work? This has always been a problem for me with bombcasts as until I had an iphone I just had to download podcasts as music and sync it to my phone but the names of the files were a week long and the american dating system meant it wouldn't sort properly and AUFUSGDLHKEL#RHJ!@@!!!

I'm sort of surprised an iPhone app for a community website has next to nada community features. At the very least it'd be nice to be able to update my status or comment on articles through the app. As it is, i'm weirded out to say, it actually feels a little bare. Don't hit me!
Also, i feel this is when i go all fruitcake and warn people that the iPhone is a cool PDA/iPod but a shite phone, and that if you want this app you're better off getting the iPod touch and getting a real phone instead. The iPhone phone featureset makes it seem like a complete afterthought. It can not be taken seriously.
another quick note for future updates, the endurance run (when I searched for persona and looked at the attached video) is sorted from oldest to newest, not a biggy but would make more sense to sort in terms of most recent.
Dude, that is probably the BEST Giant Bomb video I've seen so far. It tops the one you guys ran before the site went live...you know, the one with Jeff and Vinny messing around shouting "It's a video game website about video games!!!" This is now my new favorite.
@Babble: It will definitely only be 3.0 just because of how shady Apple acts. They review so many submissions and they have to all be 3.0 certified. Unfortunately if this app came out 2 months ago then you'd have a 2.0 version that you could have and just not update.
Awesome app. Just wondering, is there a forum we can go to for feature requests? I'm sure you guys already have tons of stuff planned for future updates, but I'd really like to throw some of my "wish list" items out there.
