One of my favorite thins about GB this site is travelling around the world and meeting up with people from this site!
I hung out for dinner & a beer with Trexoton last night, who showed me around the city of Skovde here in Sweden.
Couple of weeks ago in Vancouver, @hlomike met up with Johnny V and I and had some beers and did some bar hopping.
That shit is too cool! What a great community to be a part of. I always look forward to meeting new people from the site, and expanding the in-person internetz.
Has anyone else met up with people from GB IRL?
Giant Bomb - REAL LIFE SIGHTINGS!
I haven't met any Giant Bombers... yet. It's one of the many reasons going to PAX would be so awesome, though.
Also 90% of the people there looked to be aged 13-17.
" The only Giant Bombers I've met are people I knew in real life in the first place. "
" @JJWeatherman: I sat in a room full of them for the Giant Bombcast LIVE waiting room (and subsequently in the show room itself) at PAX this year. It was kind of cool but kind of awkward, because nobody seemed to talk to anyone who wasn't a friend that they came with. Also 90% of the people there looked to be aged 13-17. "That's what makes me weary of ever meeting a fellow duder. Frankly, I don't see a vast majority of users here having much social grace that ranges beyond spouting in joke memes around like it's in style. I mean, that's what half the people here do anyway.
That said, there's a choice pocket of GB members I wouldn't mind having a beer with. I'm following most of them.
We could always hold GB meetups. There's another podcast that does that, NoobToob, whenever one of the two hosts is on a business trip. Hell, they've managed to have meetups of six or seven people in Sweden. I figure we could probably manage a GB meetup in Chicago and have a bunch of people go.
I don't think I know any Bombers in real life. If I do, they're not telling me. Wearing the subscriber shirt may reveal some of them, but I don't know.
I haven't met any GBers in real life, and I don't think I ever will. In fact, let me lay some money down on that: first person to spot me in real life gets $10.

* turns on music* Fuck you and your dirty Earth society. You are only alive by my barely living mercy.
I met the guy who brought one of the asian food after the fish can incident while in San Diego Comic Con.
IF YOU READ THIS, I AM CALLING YOU OUT BRO!

Haven't met any that I didn't know prior, and I don't exactly regret it all that much (although I'm not thrilled about it either; you can mark me down as indifferent).
Other than people I know in real life I haven't met a user yet and seeing as Im a 15 year old I don't exactly plan to.
I want to see Jeff at a supermarket, and not meet him.
I just want to point at him from a distance and say "Hey look that's Jeff"
No never, but I know of at least 5 people here on GB that are from the same city as me. (It's a pretty small Swedish city)
Bring it on. That way, it and I shall both be on, and that is how I want things to go down: on.
I have never met anyone who uses this site (other than ppl I know IRL who I told about this site).
I find that strange as Texas is the second highest american state to use this site (california getting the most hits). Those numbers are low, though, in comparison to how many ppl live in Texas, though, and when you factor in %Unique it all goes to hell :P
But, anyway, no. I have not met anyone thats been to this site, and technically I havent really met anyone on this site either. I just randomly respond to threads and either what I say is interesting enough to quote... or not. More often its not =P
Giantbomb Glasgow meetup, lets make it happen. We'll go out for a fried mars bar and a fight, good times.
