GotG Round 3: The Walking Dead - Season One vs. The Last of Us

Compared to the Last of Us, The Walking Dead is no where near as good. I feel like if TWD was released this year it wouldn't even be mentioned in GOTY discussions.

As far as being a "game" goes I guess the Last of Us is better, but overall The Walking Dead draws way more of a response from me.

Looking through here, I was tempted to crown this the most petulent GotG thread, but then remembered that TLOU stands a real solid chance of losing to Skyrim next round, which I imagine will cause people to be insufferable.

Man, this is neck and neck. So hard to pick!

@lackingsaint: For the spoiler text: Yeah that happened for a small percentage of people, that's how bait and switches work; you don't catch everyone. As someone who watched the Prestige and figured out the twist like halfway through I could still appreciate all the fundamental aspects of the film.

For the gameplay the guns were surprisingly varied in terms of "number of shots to kill" which is kind of like Uncharted, obviously it was a bit harsher but if you're fast enough on the draw you could make it through the whole game spending say 55% of the time in cover. Semi-auto rifle was great which isn't very common, if done correctly you could have a pretty good sidearm for much of the game, guns all sounded great as well. It's not revolutionary but I do think it worked well enough to tell the story.

It's actually been super fun to follow these brackets over the last few weeks. Can't wait to see Dark Souls take the top spot.
