Eh...I'm not really a big fan of Tool's newest stuff, and this is coming from someone who has seem them perform live over 20 times. I'm still on the fence about this game.
Guitar Hero III was really underwhelming in a lot of respects. The battle mode was simply tedious (the single player boss battles still stand as great examples of bad design), the song charting was horrific, the guitar selection was abysmal, and, really, no character creation? Really?

The one thing that won me over was the improved hammer-on/pull-off mechanic. Given that, I refuse to put a wealth of faith into World Tour.
The track list looks fantastic. Float On, L'Via L'Vaquez, Purple Haze and of course, Livin' on a Prayer are all songs I have wanted to be in Rock Band/Guitar Hero for a while. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm gonna do about this though. I'm thinking of getting the Rock Band 2 bundle and then buying the Guitar Hero: World Tour game, without the instrutments. Ehhh but I don't know.
