I bought an Asus ROG Swift PG278QR earlier this year and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Figure out a budget before asking for specs.

With CES 2019 right around the corner, there is going to be a lot of new monitor tech showcased.

Ive got the dell s2716dg. Its a pretty great monitor but you would need a nvida card to get the most out of all the features. If you have an ati card, look for something with feesync technology.

I just use a 1080p/60 BenQ monitor because the LG 34WK95U is a bit out of my price range.

Budget is around $700, if I can grab a bargain all the better.

I was looking at the ASUS VA32AQ but the refresh rate is 75 hz, and a response time of 5ms.

Im running a 1070 gpu

I think if you have a budget that large, you should probably go for the Asus PG279Q. It's IPS, 1440p, 144hz, and G-sync. https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG279Q/

G-sync and adaptive sync tech in general is amazing. It's the single best improvement I've seen to my gaming experience since I started using it.

I'm using a Dell S2719DGF bought over the holidays. It was a fairly budget pick, with sales and coupons was around $450 CAD.

Edit: Just saw you're on a 1070. Disregard my option since it's Freesync.
