I enjoyed Firewatch more. Tonally completely different games. Firewatch is an exploration of emotions and dealing with seperation. Inside is a dark story, dealing with an escape. My recommendation is go based what type of tone or story you want.

Both of them are great "one sitting" games.

I really enjoyed Firewatch, the dialogue/humor is charming and does a good job keeping your attention.

Inside was one of my favorite games of last year. If you find yourself getting hooked on a game because of it's "atmosphere" or tone - I'd suggest Inside all day.

Insides got mystery and intrigue and so does Firewatch....

I'd say Firewatch is the safe bet though.

Firewatch is good, but the ending kinda leaves a bad taste. I was really into it when I was playing it, but haven't thought of it much since.

INSIDE is damn near perfect. Tightly designed, beautiful, and ambiguous in all the right ways.

I've only played Firewatch of the two, but I thought it was fantastic; including the ending, which I know some people didn't like.

Also, always nice to see Harry Crane getting work.

I only played Firewatch out of the two, but it was my game of the year, so I would definitely recommend that. Play it in one sitting if possible.

Firewatch.

Didn't care much for Inside. Have you played Limbo? It's pretty much the same thing.

Sry, not really helping but humble monthly is offering The Witness for $12 which is probably money way better spent. Firewatch didn't really connect with me. I kinda hated both of the characters. I haven't played Inside 'cause Limbo was the most disappointing thing I can recall playing. I can't believe ppl were comparing it to Braid, that's insulting.

I like Inside more, but I enjoyed both. Very different games though. Firewatch has rich characters and a solid story. Inside is all about it's world and minimalist approach to it's story. Inside brought up way more of an emotional response out of me than any other game in recent memory, so much so that it was my GOTY last year.

Not even a question. One only has story, another also has gameplay.

Inside.

Firewatch's last third is so rushed and almost ruins the fantastic rest of the game.

Inside is a fascinating game from beginning to end. Disturbing and shocking ending.

Inside has more mystery and is a much more mechanically interesting game.

Firewatch hedges its bets with a strong narrative but relatively lackluster gameplay.

Firewatch's ending was pretty lame but other than that it was decent. Inside was great from start to finish and the last 10 minutes or so are nuts

I haven't played Firewatch, but I do recommend Inside.

It is a really tight game. An experience that lasts a few hours but feels extremely well put together.

Both, Inside is puzzle-y and Firewatch is more narrative. Don't listen to people's opinions before you play them, they're both only about 3 or 4 hours, worth having your own opinion on.
