There's no wiki entry (that I can find) yet but I was presented with this in my Steam recommended list today...

The Swordsmen X

After a bit of a glance - the video didn't look too bad at first - the poor page translations and review made me think this isn't up to much (yet). However, it has now really made me want a Bushido Blade setting/format for a BR game. Peaceful-ish wandering around, the potential for duels or multi-person situations sounds like the sort of thing I'd like to try. I know there was a worry at some point after the PUBG/Fortnite success that these games would be everywhere, but with it all being a bit quiet on the announcements thus far, I am now hoping a well made melee style one appears. As with The Swordsmen X (great title), there's probably one out there I just haven't seen yet.

Any melee styles/periods that you think would make for a good BR setting?

I've been wanting a Dark Souls-esque battle royale for some time. It's a fantastic setting already.

I would be down for a Star Wars Jedi Knight II BR.

I think if you just took Chivalry and made it a 100 player free for all with armour and weapons on the map you'd have a pretty good Battle Royale game right there.

I kinda want to play all of these! So tempted to try The Swordsmen X now. If I muster the budget I'll let you all know if it's a gem masquerading as poop, or just poop.

I want some kind of turn based rpg battle royale. I have no clue how that would work, but that’s why I’m not a game developer.

It's theoretically not too late for Mount and Blade II to have a battle royale mode. Mount and Blade Warband servers already managed over 200 players. I don't know if this is something that the devs have talked about, but maybe it could be done as a mod
