Wow. Look at their names. They're out of creativity there. Only a moron would take the time to memorize every single one of these Pokemon names.
Why not just stick with the already established 350 or whatever number of Pokemons we have now and just expand on those games as sequels rather than making new stories and new Pokemons?
Everything apart from the original 150 look dumb. To me, these new ones don't look any more dumb than the ones from Gold/Silver, Ruby/Saphire and Diamond/Pearl.

I'm sure those names will be the japanese names. All of the japanese names for the pokemon sound dumb to a western audience (e.g. Bulbasaur is Fushigidane, Squirtle is Zenigame and Charmander is Hitokage). They'll be westernized before it comes over to the US & Europe.
its the same with every generation of pokemon. some look good enough. some look absolutely retarded. i did see some interesting shit, but most of them are just ridiculous now
Haven't followed Pokemon since the original Red/Blue. From an outsider's perspective, it seems like they lean towards making Pokemon look cuter/kid friendly. Are there any Pokemon as cool as a big-ass tortoise with cannons on it's fucking back?
Yeah, they're pretty derivative of the other pokemon. Like #626 just looks like Taurus with an afro but some of them are hilarious. #625 looks straight out of megaman.

They're making them more and more abstract, it's hard to relate to them or call them cute anymore. Charmander was like a salamander that breathed fire, Pidgey was a pigeon, Mankey was a monkey...Holiga is a poisonous giant eyeball insect with cilia? Back to basics please.
Also, some of the Pokemon are straight up robots now, wtf.
I used to think they just looked worse because the franchise as a whole had stopped being novel. But wow, these are incredibly uninspired. They look like someone tried to knockoff the first 300 or so.
Though, the one holding a steel beam gets a pass. He is the only cool one, and he's not even fully evolved.
