Sick of fan boys

this is for all you people who are sick of fan boys arguing over  who's got the better console or games. Please feel free to vent in any way as i am so sick of them and i think they should just chill out and start enjoying video games instead of arguing over what game console has got  the bigger dick.

Fanboys are fine. What I'm sick of is all the retarded fucking threads on forums like these. No that's not an implication, I mean it in the literal sense.

I actually don't see too many fanboys on these forums, unless of course we are talking about "religion fanboys." That's another story alltogether.

I'm sick of the "I hate fanboys" threads.

Riddler, Guilty Spark, Smug, are the biggest I've seen, not describing fanboy as in just liking one thing better than the other, as in what they chose to do, insult at any given second and defend the slightest, even nicely put knock at their console or a certain game on it. Yeah I'm sick of them, but we can't do shit about it so.

Fanboy fights are exciting. The impartial  intellectual yoda's are extreamly boring.

Xbox 360 has a fantastic online service but charges and has an annoying friends list limit.
The Wii looks crap but has some funny games on there that you'll play when your drunk."

I dont think this thread does much to "exterminate" fanboys.

The best way would be to ignore them completely. Which this thread fails in doing.

Fanboys should be shot and burnt in hell for their negative impact on the gaming community. Its cool to be a fan of a game or platform, that dedication and support helps further the gaming industry. But when you're loyalty to a game or platform is so strong it makes you blind to their flaws and deaf to what other people have to say then its completely and utterly wrong.

Okay, there seems to be a bit of a blurred line between fan and fanboy but let me tell you the kind of people I don't like. The kind of people who annoy me are those that will not take what they or other people say as opinion but believe it can be a genuine fact that their console is better, they are closed minded and completely reject any notion that any other console may have good traits and with thorough conviction they will not shut up about how their console is superior to all others. Indeed you could say 'just don't click onto the threads' but with the internet it's not that easy and what could usually be a fair and intellectual debate can quickly be changed into a biased bash-fest by one fanboy.

The whole fanboy thing is why I rarely post on certain forums like IGN anymore. It has got way too extreme over there in the past 2 years especially their PS3 forum. Mods do absolutely nothing to curtail it. Too many times in the past when trying to post a  topic you are immediately called a fanboy and the thread just goes all to hell. Most of time it was cause they look at your post history and look at how many times you posted in one forum compared to the other.

I  understand if you only have one console and either can't afford or choose not to buy another one. Just seems to me that sometimes people are insecure about their purchase and feel the need to defend it at all costs when someone says anything negative about it.

There aren't many on this site, so I don't have that big of a problem.

I understand  the reason for competition but sometimes I wish there could just be one huge console called like Multi-PlayBox with all games from all consoles......ever.

Fanboys are hilarious, I just think they should shut up every once and a while, though.

Fan boys are spoilt kids who need what they own to tbe the best. Kids play computer games. The internet is a place where people can express themselves behind a veil of anonymosity. There are always going to be assholes somewhere chatting shit about something that doesnt matter.

The odds are stacked against us.

All you can do is continue to demonstrate maturity and sincerity in an attempt to alter the gamer demographic and isolate those alternate obnoxious people into a corner where they can stick their fingers in their ears and shout at one another.

Everyone grows up eventually, and hopefully realises what an idiot they were as a child. Thats how shit happens.
