Some Of Your Most Treasured Coop Games?
" @mosespippy: is that game even worth playing solo? Been eyeing it on PSN since it dropped to $9.99 but, as I posted earlier in this thread, I'm terrible at actually coordinating my time with others to play co-op. "I'm a big trophy hunter, so a $20 game that has a platinum was very enticing for me. I had trouble getting 2 friends with 8 or 9 hours to spend going through co-op. We only got about 1/4 of the way through because they are very busy and my PS3 broke before we could get back to it. I finished the game solo twice going for trophies and really enjoyed it, except for the 1 level that I did 15 or 16 times looking for 1 item. It kept me entertained for about 2 weeks, which seems like the right amount of time for $20.
"This game turned out to be more awesome than I thought it would be.
"
I could not stop laughing at the over-the-top cussing that made it feel like an irony of north european games (hitman, kane and lynch, bad company, max payne) which uses profanity for .. well the purpose of profanity :)
And all with a jap-twist, pure gold.
" @gingertastic_10 said:Definitely. Completely forgot I played that game with other people. I still have to complete it." Borderlands. It's the only coop game I've played, I'm not too into them. But I played it with dbz1995 and there were tons of awesome moments in that. "Man, once the new Borderlands DLC comes out... me, you DBZ1995, we all there, dawg! I'll bring the snacks. "
TIMESPLITTERS 3!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I spent easily 100hrs on the Coop and the 4 players split screen multiplayer vs the BOTS. Does anyone know why they don't put BOTS in games anymore? It's great and all to play online but sometimes it's fun to play with some friends at a party and hand it to some predictable AI.
O Timesplitters 3 how I love thee!
All the Halos and Gears, Too Human, Lost Planet 2, both L4Ds, RE5, and pretty much anything else I can. Kane & Lynch now. I love co-op, just consistent good times. However, terrorist hunt on RB6:Vegas 1 and 2 stands out and is really satisfying and intense, especially if you got only an hour or two, instead of the 4-5 to play through a big chunk of a sp campaign.
EDIT: Jeez...how'd I forget Borderlands??? Awesome game w/friends.
I know its not really "classic", but Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory had some of the best coop I've ever played. Also love that the OP remembers Jedi Power Battles, that game was alright even if it was prequel trash.
Recently I have really been into Red Alert 3 on the 360. Me and my buddy get together and run some campaign.
"LOL me and my friends have played in numerous bands together and we always cover the main song from Cabal
"
Man, so many to list. The ones that come to mind right now are the ones with hilarious moments... and that would be L4D and L4D2. It would be the 3 of us. L4D had more funny moments because Bill was left as AI. AI does funny things.
Resistance 2
Ratchet: Deadlocked
Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks
Lego Star Wars
Resident Evil 5
Resistance 2
Gears of War
Borderlands
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Oh, and did I mention Resistance 2?
