Songs can have money reactions out of people, love, hate and... shock?

What are some songs that have scared or shocked you? Now as for myself I hardly get emotional unless you know, it is something really big but this song shocked me a lot -

Also, the ending made my jaw drop.

What do you guys think?

Black Sunday. Especially after finding out about its incredibly morbid history with its influence towards suicide.

The song from Sonic The Hedgehog when you're drowning. To this day no other songs makes me that fucking anxious to run.

You're thinking of Gloomy Sunday, not Black Sunday. Black Sunday is Cypress HIll's album.

Is it just me or is it like everyday someone else is saying how "shocked" they were when the first heard dance with the devil. I dont even like the song anymore because people make such a big deal about it.

I don't mean shocked as in a bad way I mean shocked as in the ending made my jaw drop and the song was amazing.

That was shocking indeed and so moving it's been a while since a rap song has really made an impression on me. I can't think of any songs that are equally moving but I'll think about it and share it when I find it.

"A Little Piece of Heaven" on Avenged Sevenfold's title album was probably the song in recent memory that did that for me.  It's just kinda fucked up.. and kinda awesome.  In that order.

Also I love the way the song could fit in a musical.  Pretty unexpected on a lot of levels.

Trapped in the Drive Thru by Weird Al Yankovic, it's genuinely the song with the most surprising ending I've ever heard, you have to listen to the eleven minute song pretty much all the way through to get it though.

What about that racist Guns 'n' Roses song. I remember being shocked by it, although I kinda hate Guns 'n' Roses, so I don't remember the name of the song for the life of me.

I have it. I was feeling like shit the first time I heard this song and actually cried a little. It is the saddest song ever, it's also shocking in a way because it's a pop song about a guy commiting suicide after a failed marriage and losing both his parents. I don't think there are many songs in popular music that have treated the subject in such an honest way, in fact few songs are really as earnest and heartbreaking as this song.

Just like something you didn't expect or was so amazing and imagine how terrifying the song is.

It is hard to explain but if you listen to the song I posted you will get it.

Actually, the song Westfall by Okkervil River shocked me the first time I heard it. It's pretty grim. But it's an amazing song.

Any time a rapper manages to get heard pumping out more than "G" propaganda shocks me. Not because I don't think rappers are capable of it, but because the ones that have soul and heart and a few brain cells left so rarely get past the fuck heads singing about dope, money, cars, and 'babes'.

EDIT: One that really hit me hard was "Long Live Palestine". The artist is LowKey, video above.

This one is kind of like Dance With the Devil, but goes for less straight-up shock value.

It's more of the kind of song that will leave you sitting in silence for like a full minute afterwords.

It's in my opinion the greatest hip-hop song of all time.

Thanks for posting that song was amazing, and yes, shocking. :P
I sayy Starlings by elbow made me feel all lovey dovey, Guy Garvey has a powerful voice and the climax of the song is great. :) Probably my favourite voice.

Please give it a listen don't write it off because it's slow. :)
Stan got quite a reaction from me too. :P

Most shocking songs I can think of came from a Bloodrust demo. I swear I heard some weird voices when listening to it. I deleted it as soon as I could. Then I DL'ed it again out of pure curiosity and didn't hear anything odd. Maybe I downloaded something different the first time, but it was freaky.

That's awesome.  I've enjoyed that song for years, and never bothered listening to the lyrics.  Thank you for posting that.  It somewhat reminds me of the first time I really listened to the song Brown Sugar by The Rolling Stones.  It's about a slave owner who enjoys having sex with his slaves.

Even more shocking than that is what the Rolling Stones wrote when they wanted out of their record contract.  They were required to write one more single, but they didn't want to give their record company anything that they could use, so they wrote this:
