Things that are harder to do in video games than in real life

3. Manage your suitcase ( RE4 )

Write neatly. I've never a seen a game where you can write neatly when it passes you control of a pen or something (think Nintendogs or Duke Nukem: Forever's demo).

Move through seemingly open space near the edges of towns or on highways (invisible walls).

Move and shoot at the same time (RE4).

I tried to kill a kid in Fallout 3, way harder than in real life...

Looking one way while pointing your gun in the other.

Being able to jump when I want.

Driving manual is harder in games... how exactly? And ladders involve you usually hitting a button or holding up on a stick, if even that. Some games you don't do anything other than walk near them and you hop right up.

@MordeaniisChaos: If you play it on a G27 racing wheel with actual shifter, then it's easy, and pretty amazing, might I add.

When I try to shift manually on a controller with buttons though, I fuck up completely, even though I have driven a manual transmission car for years. It just feels wrong.

Consider walking an acceptable speed to travel at.

Remembering to get into the correct side of a vehicle.

Making a god damn cereal in the Sims, it always starts a fire and burns my house.

According to Heavy Rain, walking is pretty damn tough.

Vaulting over obstacles.

Finding weapons, teamwork, killing yourself (I shouldn't be able to survive a 200 foot drop without taking any damage), jumping from one platform to another, Driving (GTA IV, my car doesn't skid and swerve like that!), and walking without tripping or falling down stairs. (I don't trip and fall down stairs....often :P)

I forgot to add going to the bathroom. Your character RARELY goes to the bathroom....unless he's Duke Nukem.

That made me lol in real life. I have never understood how preparing a salad caused my kitchen to go up in flames, but then again, how do we know the Sims takes place in our reality? oOoOoo
