What do you think is the most overrated game?

For me it would be Bayonetta. I just could not get into and I love Devil May Cry

I'd have to say Red Dead Redemption. I couldn't get into that game at all. :/ But that has to do with the enormous expectations I had for the game, thanks to the reviews and people talking about it.

I believe that we can all agree Killzone hold s this title: They even displayed a misrepresentation of the "gameplay" in debut trailers. 
 
Incidentally: I must say that I have less of an aversion for a forum thread "ending badly", than for people whom only "contribute" by complaining about the direction of said thread.

Halo. The whole series. I dont know why its so popular. The enemies and stuff just look silly to me.

S'funny how these threads always end up as a list of all the best games out there.
 
I think the rule for these types of threads should be:
1. Let them run their course
2. Lock them

For me it was Uncharted 2, there was something about the gameplay that wasn't striking a chord with me, I thought the cover system was a little wonky and some of the platforming was hit or miss. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a solid game with an awesome story and singe player campaign, I just don't think it was as good as most people say it is.

Threads like this are so god damn overrated.

Y'know for all the people whining about this thread dissolving into a shitstorm, there hasn't been any drama in here yet. After all, it's just a personal opinion.
 
Gonna go with an oldie and say Metroid Prime. It wasn't a bad game, but it disappointed me greatly.

There aren't any over rated games. 

Gta 4 no doubt, every site gave it a 10 and the game was just mediocre. 

Modern Warfare 2.

GTA4.  Open-world gameplay has evolved, but GTA didn't.

Crysis... I liked it, but people seemed to love it. I just dont get it.

world of warcraft. fun for a month, then there was less and less new stuff and more grinding. gave up about 3 months in once i hit 40 and realized it was all a grind and i would probably be having more fun on an assembly line

Noughts and crosses.
No depth, little replayability when you realise the tactics and little level variety. Yet its still constantly played by everyone. Utter shame.

Halo 3, MW2 and Killzone both massively hyped both pretty meh. 
 
Games that aren't hyped enough Demon's Souls and Valkyria Chronicles.
