Assassins Creed 2

Ezio
Ezio
Those screenshots stunned a lot of people into a sceptical silence. It's 2009. I could knock up better looking screenshots myself on photoshop. I want evidence of gameplay before I buy into any bullshit. Shenanigans aside, the rumors of Renaissance Italy appear to be true. This is awesome. Assassins Creed wasnt perfect, but the elements of the gameplay it got right were magnificent - the free running and the combat. The stealth needs to be radically refined, as does the voice acting and unskippable cut-scenes. The story felt tacked on and secondary to a great design platform. Hopefully Ubisoft have now had enough time to create something that works. Please, no more flags. Make it happen Ubisoft.

Pikmin 3

It's one of those games which people often dismiss as childish, which is ironic as Pikmin is one of the most brutally challenging titles available. Their little screams will haunt me forever as I accidently send two dozen precious white Pikmins to their instant watery graves. Say what you like about the recent "teaser" in Edge, the fact that Olimar featured in Super Smash Bro's makes it blindingly transparent that Nintendo values the Pikmin franchise highly, and rightly so.

Halo ODST

I'm not a big halo fan, but I do appreciate well made games, and Bungie has a knack for oozing quality. Their production values are great, so i'm prepared to support them if they knock out another decent Halo game, although i'm hesitant to impulsively buy anything that turns out to be simply milking the most successful Xbox franchise. Some new details and gameplay could be the deciding factors. I'm holding my breath.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Crazy as it may sound, ive already ordered my copy of Modern Warfare 2. I have such faith in Infinity Ward, after countless years of delivering high quality entertainment, that i'm prepared to bet the little money I have that this game is going to be a corker. I look forward to scraping up ever scrap of Modern Warfare 2 knowledge available.

Alan Wake

As I commented to Dalai recently, Alan Wake is a zombie game. Not a game in which you fight zombies, no, a game which is ITSELF a zombie. It is clearly dead, yet persists on shambling around the internet, reanimated - giving people false hope. On the offchance Alan Wake is still alive, its either going to be the Game Of The Year, or the Anticlimax of the Century. At this point, I just want it to end.

I think most of this stuff is more or less guaranteed to be there.  Everything but Alan Wake, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see that there either.  So, hooray for you I guess...!

i definitely agree in regards to Alan Wake. That game looked like a very viable (survival horror, maybe?) game when it was first shown, and it sucks they've kept the curtain closed on that game

Also, HELL YES cc23574, its time we see Duke Nukem Forever. Did you hear me 3D realms? ITS TIME TO SEE DUKE NUKEM FOREVER. I can't wait to see what that game looks like when it is released...still hoping for the best.

As for ODST though, I'm not as stoked. Though it pains me to say this, I'm kinda done with Halo for the moment. If the game turns out to be good, more power to Bungie, but at this point it just hasn't captured my attention.

I'm really exited for E3 this year, both because of the games and the new format. Hooray for E3

Alan Wake is pretty much dead as far as I'm concerned.  Just cancel the thing and let it die as a neat concept that never saw the light of day.

As for Modern Warfare 2, I'm actually a bit excited.  The first Modern Warfare (I think it's safe to call it that) was great and I'm considering adding it to my PC wishlist.

I want to see Alan Wake too. Back when I had my 360 in '05 I was super stoked about Alan Wake.

I just want to see it released now.

I wish EA would announce Sid Meier's SimGolf 2, that would be great.

I like all your choices, man. I am going to lay down some money on MW2 as well because I just know that it is going to be great. I have complete faith that it will not be a dud.

I want to see the new Mario and Zelda game for Wii.  Also want to see a Tomba! sequel/remake which will probably never happen.

Mmmm...Mass Effect 2.

Little worried about the whole Microsoft motion controller. If they really unveil it and give it a ton of press, it will take away from stuff I actually care about. :-/
