Clearly you have never played World of Warcraft.
"BiggerBomb said:"lol, I put over 10,000 hours into that terrible piece of work. I also played some other MMOs too, most of which have bigger worlds than Azeroth."Zenaxzd said:

Kalimdor on its own is about twice the size of Cyrodiil (Oblivion,) the Eastern Kingdoms as well. Eastern Kingdoms + Kalimdor + Northrend = massive.
"Zenaxzd said:Have you played FInal Fantasy XI? Now that is a large world compared to Azeroth."BiggerBomb said:"lol, I put over 10,000 hours into that terrible piece of work. I also played some other MMOs too, most of which have bigger worlds than Azeroth."Zenaxzd said:

I have not, but I think you are severely understating Azeroth's size. Can anyone else who has played both give some judgement?

"Zenaxzd said:Yes I realize that, which is part of the reason I do not play anymore. I started about 3 months after the game came out and quit a few weeks before the Sunwell patch in burning crusade. I had maybe a 2 month break there where my account was not active."BiggerBomb said:thats 416.6 days. Thats unhealthy.""lol, I put over 10,000 hours into that terrible piece of work. "You didn't play for 10000 hours you faggot, and even if you played anywhere near that, why does that qualify you to judge the biggest game world ever. You don't have to play any game that long to figure it out. "
- Yes I did play it that long, my rogue alone had almost 300 days by himself. No idea if you even played the game but you could find out how long each individual character had by typing "/played" into the chat window. He was my main but I also had 60 days on a shaman I started 1 week after burning crusade was launched along with a 68 druid, 62 paladin, 62 mage among other classes I leveled. If I actually owned my PC anymore and it was working (gave it to my parents/power supply died and they don't care enough to buy a new one - I use a laptop personally) I could actually give you screenshots of my /played times. You have no damn idea what you are talking about as I would not lie about something like that I played the hell out of.
- Wait, what? When did I say that qualified me to judge it as the biggest game world ever? Biggerbomb said I obviously never played WoW, I was responding to him by saying yes I did play, and here is how long.
- And how the hell does playing a game long not go hand in hand with realizing how big the world is? Some random level 20 in Red Ridge Mountains couldn't tell you about silithus or hellfire peninsula or something. How long you have played the game gives you great insight on how big the world is.
" BiggerBomb said:Why would anybody put that much time into something they apparently don't like."lol, I put over 10,000 hours into that terrible piece of work. I also played some other MMOs too, most of which have bigger worlds than Azeroth. "Zenaxzd said:

Daggerfall is the largest land based game area, according to the Guinness book of world records gamer edition. It's 163,492 square kilometres (63,125 square miles), which is roughly the size of two Great Britain's.
However, the biggest gameworld ever will be some flight simulator that simulates the whole world, albeit in very low quality.
The biggest I've played would be World of Warcraft's, but Lord of the Rings Online has a freakin' huge play area, as does Gothic 2 Gold. Haven't seen those mentioned. Also, Titan Quest's worlds seemed massive to me.
It's not fuel. That was just the biggest console game. Implement the PC and Fuel gets blown out the water.
Personally I'd say Azeroth, or maybe even Star Wars Galaxies. There were numerous planets in that game. Planets.
"Clearly, it is Daggerfall. Not including worlds that are automatically generated as you go, obviously. Also obviously, Daggerfall was pretty lacking. What are some other rediculously large gameworlds? Online or off."
Most of Daggerfalls terrain was randomly generated.
If we were to go with hypothesis, then the continent of Faerûn (where the Forgotten Realms games take place) is probably one of the bigger ones. Of course, I don't think any of the video games actually allow you to walk on every square inch of it, but hypothetically it would be one of the largest, and it's just a continent. I mean, just look at the map.
--------------- that line is about 600 miles looking at the map at the posted Super size.
lol, I put over 10,000 hours into that terrible piece of work. I also played some other MMOs too, most of which have bigger worlds than Azeroth. "Funny you didn't think it was a "terribly piece of work" as you were getting those 10,000 hours logged.
" Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing had never ending maps. So you know what, they have my vote. "you won this thread
