I think it's something from the X series (X, X2, X3). Just got them from a humble bundle and they're all about the kha'ak. Can't find that quick look though. I do remember it. Best I could come is "evochron mercenary". Maybe that's it?
It's the X games. There's a race called the Khaak in there. There's 3 games in the 3rd series of this game, X3: Reunion, X3: Terran Conflict and X3: Albion Prelude. It's probably one of those.
It's not Evochron Mercenary considering this thread is from right around when the Evochron Mercenary quick look was posted - almost 1 year, 8 months exactly - and the OP said that the QL was old then.
Hmm, was it that game where you're a ship and fly around in isometric view across space, dual-joystick shooting enemies for particular alien empires? The one you had to get from the guy that made it's website. He also made some fantasy games.
Or maybe it was that 4X space game that Brad and Vinny looked at? The one with the completely insane tech tree?
Um...if I were you guys, I wouldn't stress out about trying to figure it out. This thread is quickly approaching being two years old, and it appears to be one of the last posts the OP made on GB.
