Dark Souls, Saints Row 3, and Deus Ex: HR.

Dark Souls wins.

Just cause 2, I had to look, and I guess it did come out in 2010, but the idea is the same. I got the game free through PSN plus, and had never played it. I played the whole story and spent hours finding random pickups and taking over villages. Easily the one of three games I spent the most time with during the year. Also one of the games I had the most fun with as well.

Deus Ex Human Revolution, boss fights aside I loved that game and really wish I hadn't waited so long to finally give it a go.

I was really, really impressed by the game and (I feel like I'm maybe in a minority here) I actually really liked the ending.

Fortune Street.

And it kicked ass.

Dark Souls. The Prepare to Die Edition really revitalized my love for this game. However, technical issues (on consoles at least) still can bug the hell out of me from time to time.

Just Cause 2. Didn't look at it seriously when it first came out. Bought it on Steam on sale and loved every minute of it.

I played The Witcher 2 on X360 this year, which released on that platform in 2012 but on PC in 2011. I've spotlight-ed it in my GOTY blog but if it is to be considered a 2011 game, it'd be high on last year's list.

Dark Souls. I was a little bit down on the covenant stuff and the lack of direction compared to Demon's Souls when it first came out. I still really liked it, but now that I've spent most of '12 playing it, it's my 2nd favorite game this gen behind New Vegas - which was my 2011 game of 2010.

Portal 2, easily.
