What's Your Top 5 Games Nobody Played Last Gen Xbox, PS2, GC

In this time of GOTY posts, I'd like to reflect on the games from last gen that got overlooked, average reviews, or poor sales, that you thought deserved better.  I'm also looking for new ideas to fill up my backlog in the process. 

Mine are:
1. Ico
1.  Oddworld Stranger's Wrath - One of the best games from last gen  that I believe had poor sales but good reviews.
2.  XIII - A game that had average reviews, but I really enjoyed both the game, the premise, and aesthetic.  Back in the day I even enjoyed the online Multiplayer on PS2
3.  Indigo Prophesy - an obvious choice
4.  Phantom Dust
5.  Yakuza 2, it got average reviews, and it deserved more attention than it got.

Try to make your choices interesting (at least some of them).

Edit:  Make as many or as few suggestions as you like, 5 was just a random number.  I'll create an ongoing tally and put it into the OP starting tomorrow.

I can't think of five off the top of my head, but I do know that Okami got nowhere near enough love when it was originally released on PS2.

Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Beyond Good and Evil, Psychonauts.....none of which I've played.

Summoner 1 - most under rated RPG of all time.  It's like a mix of Baldurs Gate + KOTOR

only one I can think of =/ I only really got games that were popular

I picked up Xiii for £3 at gamestation the other month, great game

XIII is a definite choice. That game was amazing both as an FPS and as a comic book adaptation with some really amazing moments. That cliffhanger ending is terrible though. Similarly, i'll have to say Shenmue II, which as i've said many times, still haunts my dreams at night.

Well, I'm not entirely positive if these did or not well, but I'll just say I don't hear enough people talking about them:

1- Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts: Covenant
2- Xenosaga Trilogy
3- Psychonauts
4- Beyond Good and Evil
5- Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis

1- PSI - OPS: (the Mindgate Conspiracy)! Why didn't anyone play that?! It was like Star Wars: TFU but even better.

all of those games were awesome and should have been million sellers but just either released along big games or people just didn't get it

You don't hear much about Suikoden 3-5, though I think they sold pretty decently.  I'd add those in to my earlier list as well.

yakuza 2 isn't really last gen to me, it just came out in us dude. game is FUCKING GREAT, Yakuza 3 on PS3 will be amazing, better that gta4 for sure. at least more fun. 

I'm going to have to go with Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 2 and Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge. The neglect they recieved still keeps me up at night....

Definitely ICO and shadow of the collosus. Did pikmin sell well? If not that should go on the list. Other than that BGaE and Psychonauts

Easily Viewtiful Joe. I love the shit out of that game. Okami comes a close second. Besides that, I enjoyed Psychonauts, Indigo Prophecy , and finally Beyond Good and Evil

Well if we're going to bring Ico and SotC into this I'm going to have to add them to my number one and number one choice.  :)

Updated again, and I'm loving the more obscure picks.  I've been put onto a couple games already that I hadn't heard of.

1. Shadow Hearts: Covenant (best RPG of the last 10 years)
2. Grandia 3
3. Rogue Galaxy (if this game had a Square logo on its box, it would have been huge)
4. Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits
5. Growlanser Generations

Are we going to count Shadow of the Colossus and the Persona games? The Persona games got pretty popular, and SotC was a greatest hits title. I loved all three, but I think plenty of people played them.

Idk if this is unknown, but I loved Star Wars Republic Commando, and since it hasn't received a proper sequel, I'm guessing it didn't perform THAT well commercially.

Um, OP, "AKI WWF" isn't actually a game. AKI is the company that produced such wrestling games such as "WWF Wrestlemania 2000" for the N64, and they eventually went on to make the first Def Jam game. No biggie though, I just wanted to let you know.

Plus, I totally forgot about "Phantom Dust"- one of the most creative and fun games for the XBOX that I've played (never bought it however :(   )

Oh actually, can I change a game, instead of "Def Jam", I will propose another awesome wrestling game- "Ultimate Muscle" for Gamecube- only the Super Smash Bros. series has 4 player multiplayer than compares to how much fun this game is. And everyone ignored it because it was based on some Fox kids cartoon.
