Mine was a few minutes ago, in God of War 3, when I messed up at the end of the last boss fight and died for the bazillionth time. I went on to curse out the game, shut off the ps3, and turn on the Bombcast.
How about you?
When was the last time you rage-quitted?
That fucking GTA San Andreas mission with the remote control plane. I absolutely FUCKING hated that stupid mission. After a week of playing it I rage twisted my PS2 controller until it broke. I don't think at any other point in my life, that I've been more angry then in that single instance. Of course after that I felt like an asshole, and I was down a perfectly loyal controller. :(
Probably a few days ago in Madden 10. I can't remember if I quit, but I remember that I hardly completed any passes, which was just, stupid. I mean, the QB threw it at the guy's leg. Not sure how he expected to complete passes like those.
Halo 3 when it came out.
A few of us were all lv 1 when we started and one of our party obviously wasn't lv1. He ran it up on us over and over continually calling us homos over and over and over again. After about the 4th game I quit after being tired of listening to him. Then he sent me about 4 msgs on xbl calling me a homo for quitting. It was the last time I up'd my xbl subscription.
Is it considered rage quitting if there isn't any rage? I can't really get worked up like that over a video game, but I'll hop out of a match sometimes if it's too laggy or if there's a bunch of teamkillers. Sometimes I'll also bounce if I'm in a co-op game and it's clear that the group I'm with really has no chance of getting anywhere. For single player stuff, I just play until I get bored or need to do something else. I have no qualms with dying to the same boss in a Ninja Gaiden game 40 times in a row.
Last week I believe. I was getting my ass kicked in Battlefield 1943 so I said fuck this shit. And played some Fallout 3 instead.
Battletoads, I have been on a mission to defeat that game and see it's shitty one screen ending for a while now. And while I've done it in the past, it's always been on emulators and not really a true finish.
I have two copies of it, after a certain play session where I was being pounded I ended up only having one copy after my friend L. Slugger stepped in.
I remember one chase mission when you were chasing a drug dealer and you couldn't drive too close to him or else the mission failed. By the 3rd or fourth time I stayed literally 20-40 yards away from him and I still failed the mission. Pissed me off." Any GTA 4 chase missions, especially with motorcycles. Those are so fucking annoying. "
" @nastymoon said:Haha, that's the negative side of being a healer. You'll be pawned by your enemies easily if you don't heal right away." @Ryax said:its annoying. and when i have a healer who cant handle me tanking more than 2 mobs "" i quit when healers cant heal right and i die! " @Ryax said:that and the tank will get mad at you. only when they failed miserably. if they tried their best its understandable" @nastymoon said:Haha, that's the negative side of being a healer. Cave Story about a day or two ago.
Got up to the sand level, got to the boss. I made the mistake of getting that crappy machine gun instead of my pistol so I have some trouble with the boss as I keep running out of ammo. I try about 15 times to kill it and then I FINALLY manage to kill it, I'm ecstatic. I jump over the wall, land on a spike and die.
Rage quit.
I used to rage quit all the time playing Counter-Strike. Thinking back on it nowadays, I would still rage quit on that fucking game. Seriously, fuck that game.
