Depends on what game it is/was and how much replay value it has. Most games I do keep are typically a trilogy (Gears of War, God of War, Assassin's Creed, etc). Lately I've been working my way over to Steam games since majority of games are being ported for PC (less shit in my house and nice to have the games stored on Steam).
When your done with a game, do you keep it or not?
I used to just keep the ones I only really liked, like I sold Uncharted 3 but I'll always keep 2. Now I just keep all my games because I mostly buy games on PC.
Also, you're.
If I like a game alot I might keep it, but if its a game I stopped having fun with I'll trade it in.
I keep it. I have a pile of games in the back of my car I've been meaning to sell, but I never get around to it and I generally end up getting the itch to play one and fish it out of the trunk.
Since my PS2 burnt out and I no longer live with someone with a 360, I mostly game on Steam anyway. No giving games away there.
I keep the stuff that I really like. Personal 5/5s. Stuff that I know I would want to go back to later.
If it's just another game, good or bad, I don't care about hanging onto it.
For example, I probably played well over a hundred ps2 games, but I only kept 10 of them. I like having a small-ish collection that says something about my tastes, rather than a massive shelf of arbitrary titles just because.
These days I only really play on PC, so trading's out of the question.
I don't trade my console games though (well, I sold my 360 to a mate recently, but c'mon, there's no need for a 360 anymore), I used to all the time as a kid/early teen, but wised up as I got older.
I keep my games. It would have to be really horrible or defective for me to return it. This generation is the first one for me to ever return a game because it was bad though. I know I'll eventually want to play each game again in the future (I still regret selling my Gamecube), so I pretty much have to keep them.
Depends. I mostly play on PC nowadays, so trading in is no option there. When it comes to console games, I keep the games I really love (Red Dead Redemption for example) and trade in the rest if I get a good deal (increased trade value when pre-ordering etc). Sometimes I'll take a bunch of older games and trade them in for something new if I'm low on cash, which happens a lot nowadays. I've kinda run out of things to trade in now, though.
I live in a house with a lady and a baby. Of course I don't keep them, I have about 8 360 games I've kept, and about 20 PS2 and Playstation games in storage. I rarely even buy them anymore, I use Lovefilm (a Gamefly type service) and rent 2 games a month. At £5 a month, it saves me a lot of money.
Eh, I voted keep it since all my games are tied to my Steam account. However, a lot of console games, I traded just because I very rarely replay games. They have to be absolutely mindblowingly amazing for me to replay them and I just don't think that many of those games exists sadly. When I was playing a lot of games on my PS3, I had Gamefly and loved it for that reason. You can go through a game or two a month and be spending $10-15 a month (I say $10 because I split it with 2 other friends and we each paid $10 for 1 game) instead of being spending $60 for each of those games. Gives you a great chance to enjoy some great new games and not have to pay a ton for it.
