Which one of these games SCARED you more ?

not startled, but SCARED! as in brought out that terrified/unsettled child inside of you 
  
i gotta say Dead Space was brilliantly startling and Cryostasis was dead atmospheric and immerse, yet STALKER's underground missions were fucking frightening and tense!

The demo for Dead Space made that feeling start to bubble up, so I turned it off and deleted it. I'm a wimp when it comes to creepy games, as Condemned + Surround Sound made me swear them off after 2 hours of play.

Cryostasis had way more jump scares than all the others on the list.
 
Stalker was more creepy due to the atmosphere.

I remember the first time I got in a fight with a Bloodsucker in Stalker SOC.  Those things were freaky.  Plus with the Oblivion Lost mods adding in Burers (Or whatever)  Awesome environment, just really freaky game..

S.T.A.L.K.E.R., even thought that isn't saying much. Amnesia is100x scarier than all three of these games combined.

Only played dead space. But god damn with surround sound and the atmosphere of the game was eeery. Never scared once unfortunately.

Cryostasis, but STALKER had its moments.

Amnesia created a new meaning for the term 'scary game', its too superior in its horror to be included here. i couldnt keep going in the demo for more than 3 minutes "

I've got an attention span of longer than five seconds so I wasn't scared by Dead Space.

I scare easy and I don't like to be scared. That being said, Dead Space wasn't scary at all and those who found it scary are crazy.

The only thing scary about Dead Space was some of those achievements.

Haven't played through Cryostasis even though I own it. It kills my system.
 
But I have a feeling I would vote STALKER, however not Shadow of Chernobyl. Call of Pripyat is much scarier than the first two STALKERs due to the revamped creature AI and wider open world.

I only played Dead Space but I really don't think it was all that scary.  Everything about it was great from the atmosphere to the gameplay, but I didn't find myself jumping or getting scared, maybe a little in a few places but not much overall.  But maybe Dead Space 2 will.

Only played Dead Space and although I jumped a few times and had a few scared moments I did not find it an overly scary game.

Going with Cryostasis, but S.T.A.L.K.E.R is up there as well.
 
Dead Space got predictable fast, but it did have its moments later on.

E. The only game to ever really scare me was when I found out how many hours I put into my favorite MMO.

Eh, having played all three, I think Cryostasis is probably the most consistently "scary".
 
HOWEVER, I chose STALKER because even though it's not really a horror game, there are parts in that game that made me literally curl up and whimper like a little girl.
Hell, my first night in STALKER was spent in pants-shitting fear simply due to the ambient noises.
And the first two underground areas literally made me pause the game and go sit in the corner, crying like a little bitch.
 
Cryostasis had one or two really GREAT moments, but nothing as close to the terrifying highs of my first playthrough of SoC.
Both are great games, though.

amazing atmosphere, you're slow and weak and need to keep warming up by looking for lamps and torches, and the enemies (zombies) you encounter as you explore that half-sunk ship are a part of the story and the connection is made through amazing flashbacks through the dead crew's minds.. just extraordinary "

I haven't really felt that Stalker was scary yet; granted, I'm not that far into it though.
Dead Space generally disappointed me with its attempts at horror, but there were several parts which I found to be really scary

None of those scared me, just the occasional shock from something creeping up on me.
 
So far Amnesia is the only game to scare me. Whenever I play that game I close the door and blinds and constantly look behind my back, even during the day.
