Which Shooter from E3 2012 impressed you the most?
You may think that my choice is Halo 4, but it's not. I voted for Far Cry 3 since it looks like everything that made the original great and more. That, and Voss who looks like to be one of the most interesting villains in video games. Halo 4 was very close, and so was Borderlands 2.
If they can pull it off ZombieU could be interesting, but it being only on console will prevent me from really enjoying it as I despise playing shooters with a controller. Other wise Planet Side 2 is the only game on that list doing anything even remotely interesting for the genre. Just a shame they are going to ruin it with micro-transactions.
EDIT:Didn't notice Natural Selection 2 on that list. That too is very interesting if they can balance it correctly.
Borderlands 2, no question. I expected more of the same, but it's much brighter and varied in design. It looks like significant game play improvements have been made to freshen it up. Really, my most anticipated game of 2012.

Nah, you were right the first time. It's Halo 4.
Metro 2033 was so goddamn good, buggy as all hell yeah but the sense of place and atmosphere was second to none.
I would have said FC3 but their over zealous use of the word 'fuck' is really putting my off. So I chose Halo, which kind of shocks the hell out of me because I'm normally not that into the series
I voted Halo 4, because I like that it still has that Halo feel to it. It's that style of gameplay that is more reminiscent of older shooters like Quake and UT where you're jumping around with power armor, alien guns, and no real care for recoil or stamina. Don't get me wrong, it's not Quake 3, but it's the closest console game I can think of that way - that also hasn't failed financially.
What they showed of FC3 was definitely intriguing. Was there actually anything of Borderlands 2 and Metro LL shown? Regardless, Borderlands 2 is the FPS I'm looking forward to the most.
Borderlands, even though some of the others looked nice.
Borderlands 1 was a impulse buy for me on day one while I knew nothing about it (gamers gut, really) and it turned out to be one of my favorite games ever.
So B2 is a done deal for me, at least its breaking the mold.
Last of Us was my favorite shooter like game from E3, but since that wasn't on here the only other game that has my interest in any way is Halo.

@CouncilorChief: Then it's a bias poll...
Yeah, but was anyone going to vote for it anyway? People are getting sick of COD right now and Black Ops 2 doesn't look much different from the others. I used to like CoD but I think the series REALLY needs a vacation.

I picked Borderlands 2
no idea why people are picking Halo 4. Are we saying Halo 4 because we think it looks awesome or because we found out it doesn't look shitty?
Because honestly, that was one underwhelming demo
The fact some people like something I don't like boggles my head too.

I would have voted for Black Ops 2, also, nice way of contradicting yourself in a matter of seconds. "The fact some people like something I don't like boggles my head too." (I assume it was an attempt at witty sarcasm) Yet, you leave COD of the list, because you think it needs a vacation and assume people are getting sick of the series, great job.

this.
For me it's down to Halo 4 and ZombiU. ZombiU had a really unique zombie flavor to it that I liked a lot, but I can't describe exactly what it was that I was impressed by. I guess to me ZombiU just looked like a lot of fun, and I liked the focus on "survival" rather than body count. Halo 4 I liked because I've always enjoyed Halo games, and I feel it's about the perfect time for another one. The shooting mechanics looked stronger, the graphics looked fantastic, and the sound effects seemed to be much improved over the older cartoony ones. My vote went for ZombiU though.
Far Cry 3, because it looked interesting. So interesting, in fact, that it made me pay attention to it, even when I was never interested in the franchise.
Not that the other games weren't good, but they mostly fall in line with my expectations of them. Borderlands 2 and Metro Last Light are, basically, more Borderlands and Metro (and I am totally fine with that)
