A. I like the guys and the community and I wanna support it. The premium stuff has been pretty great lately too so thats awesome.
Why do you pay for your Giant Bomb Premium Membership?
Both A and B. I want the guys to have the number backing to show CBSi that what they're doing is the right thing, and that they should continue to let GB operate on its own terms, and because I do enjoy the subscriber content a lot. There aren't a lot of places on the internet I trust to talk candidly about video games, and to be as fair as possible, so I want to make sure they know it's appreciated.
Jar Time is the reason I subsscribe. I wish that the rest of the crew would take the jar time idea and run with it. Ultimately the reason that the site is as popular as it is are the personalities of the crew. I hope that they do more personal content in the jar time mold especially now that we are getting shorter bombasts. I just want to speak candidly about whatever topics they feel strongly about, as that ends up being the most compelling content.
Mainly option A, although I do really enjoy the subscriber only videos. And even though they are now owned by CBSi, as mentioned earlier in this thread they've earned my money. Let me put it this way, if you'd tell me three years ago that I would subscribe to a website I would have slapped you.
I can barely stand the absolute crap on TV most of the time, it's thanks to sites like Giantbomb that I even have anything to watch.
Paying for the subscription is a no brainier, I get more than my monies worth.
For a few reasons to support the guys to do all the wacky great stuff, for the subscriber content and HD video.
I've seen the site grow from a blog, I listen to all the podcasts and ever since the mobile site was released I've been using it several times every day. I feel like I've helped the site grow by using it and paying for it (even if my impact is tiny) and I would hate for it to go away.
That's why!
Other. A, B & F. I visit the site enough that I feel like I should contribute something. I enjoy the premium videos and live feeds (when I get to watch them) and I like being able to view content on my Roku box.
I just wish the premium RSS video feeds could be used outside of iTunes. I've tried a bunch of different podcatchers - Doggcatcher, BeyondPod and a few others - that support authenticated feeds but none of them have been able to access Giant Bomb's.
I voted for A.
There is literally no other website where I have gotten more enjoyment and entertainment than giantbomb. I have followed the GB crew since their Gamespot days and feel they have given me enough hours of entertainment to earn my money. I would honestly pay $20 a month to these guys if it meant they would keep doing what the're doing.
