With the switch to the new office in the CBS Interactive office build, I begin to wonder if there will be a possibility to see a new bar installed in the new offices of Giant Bomb and Comic Vine. So out of curiosity, I would like to know if anyone knows if there are any plans for an office bar to be installed again. If not they could always do a green screen bar for show.
Will There Be a New Bar?

FUCK YEAH!! thats the kinda bar giantbomb needs, not this fancy ass brick thing they had before. This be way more authentic!
Mini fridges like this won't work for sure. They can hold 12 cans on the door and assortment of stuff but they'll likely need a full fridge and the freezers on the mini fridges ice up like crazy. I also need more space for my collector's edition bonuses.
I don't know about on site, but in the interview with Davison it was made clear that Jeff still wanted to keep the E3 alcohol fueled podcasts going on, so there's that I guess.
Yes it would be, because I imagine that's what Kid Rock's home bar looks like.@scarace360 said:

I can only imagine if it was an equivalent to the 'Jamie and Adam' branding on Tested. Maybe the faces of the CSI cast. Or just a ton of CBS ads on the top, bottom, and sides of the page. The forums would fucking freak out.

I'd at least be okay if the ads were on the seat of a bar stool. As long as you sit on them you won't see them. Get premium membership and you can use a seat cover.
I will be sad if I never see another feature of the guys drinking and playing video games. That aspect of their content is part of what made them feel like down to earth individuals, who are more like real people I could know and trust - as opposed to content producing automatons.

that would be cool but i dont think CBS is that smart.
I would think that if CBS would allow Giant Bomb to run like it always has, drinking on the job, as long as its responsible, should be okay. As for hiding alcohol, they could always use their Zojirushis.
Unless the internet division is wildly different than the rest of CBS (CBS Radio, CBS News, etc), the answer is absolutely-fucking-no-alcohol. They strip that shit right out of any radio station they purchase for obvious reasons. Sometimes rules are relaxed for on-air content, though (the same way things you say when the ON-AIR light is on aren't going to get you in the same kind of trouble with HR as if you said them outside the door of the studio). So maybe that'll be the case here. However, having some booze around is a world apart form having an in-house bar and I would be surprised if they have the room, the budget, or the go-ahead from legal to ever do that.
