My personal favorite vehicle in RPG of all time is Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech from Cyberpunk 2077.

@trh5001: This. I don't think there's a better answer. Except maybe the airship in Final Fantasy 6. Basically any airship. I'll even count Epoch in Chrono Trigger.

If we're talking about big vehicles, the airship in Skies of Arcadia and the Normandy SR-2 in Mass Effect 2 would be my top two picks.

I was a FF8 Ragnarok guy. You felt like you REALLY earned that thing from those damn aliens. Plus it had a cool weird cockpit.

skies of arcadia airship or star wars hawk. Chilling in the hawk was fun between missions.

Are you specifically talking about vehicles you can drive? If so... I don't know. I don't think I've ever played an RPG that has vehicles that control well.

If you're talking about vehicles in general, then the Normandy SR-2 is the thing that springs to mind. It's such a beautiful, sleek-looking thing.

Horse Motorcycle in Breath of the Wild.

Or FF8 Ragnarok.

I'm struggling to think of an RPG with a car that isn't ffxv...

FF7 really went out of its way to make the Highwind (and its crew) feel like a part of the team.

It's probably either that or the Morgana-Van, just because its fun conceptually to be driving a cat.

Yeah, all of the vehicles in cyberpunk are fantastic! The ability in Fallout 4 to call in a vertibird to your location and fly around Boston has to be one my favourite vehicles/mechanics in an RPG.

I will not entertain the argument that Chocobos aren't vehicles.

The Edelweiss from Valkyria Chronicles. A boss-ass tank that got me through a lot of missions.

FF8 Ragnarok felt very satisfactory because up to that point i didn't know that there was an airship incoming that was more capable than the garden. I remember spending time to start with the garden at some highground and then identify the shortest route over a cliff to make it on the other side of that cliff onto uncharted land, but constantly falling short of making it. I imagined that i would come across some sort of upgrade later on in the story that would make it easier. But i didn't expect such a huge upgrade in the form of the Ragnarok. Suddenly you whip across that map with ease.

I liked the airship in Ni No Kuni II. It felt good to fly, was super fast, and it made traveling around the overworld really streamlined in a way that I wish more games did.

While I didn't like the game very much, the car in FFXV was hilarious once I got the Type-D (off-road car that can jump).

Look at this stupid shit

@peffy: lmao, i liked that 'BIG JUMP' pop up. For some reason that car also makes me think back on that time when i received a Gorillaz CD-rom in the mail that had a sort of interactive version of the Gorillaz 19-2000 videoclip

Power armor in Fallout 4 might as well be the 1950's interpretation of SUVs. ...or Gundam.

Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech is surely a great vehicle. The whole range of vehicles in cyberpunk 2077 is pretty impressive. My personal favorite is Rayfield Caliburn simply because of its remarkable speed.

I totally agree with you that the list of vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 is awesome.
