What version of No Man's Sky will you get

Since it'll be released on GOG, I'll probably pick it up there. It's regionally priced at $70 though, which I think is a bit steep, even though you do get $10 in GOG store credit.

I'm getting No Man's Sky Blue so I can find a planet with Sandshrews and Magmars.

PC, because I like sitting on the couch. Also I don't own consoles, so that pretty much narrows the choice down.

PC cuz that's what I get most non-console exclusives on. Also I pre-ordered a Vive and I'm sure someone will hack in support for it at some point, so that'll be rad.

Now I just have to decide if I want to blow $150 on that dope collector's edition...

PS4 because that's my only option.

I have a Steam Link so can alternate between couch and office chair pretty much at will.

This seems way more like a PC game than console. Probably not getting it at all, but if I do...that's where I'll buy it.

I'm leaning PC. I've been bummed out by the PS4 with how some games aren't running well and all that. Then again, with how much umph Sony is putting behind No Man's Sky, you would assume it wouldn't have any of those issues when it launches? <shrugs>

PC. Hopefully it's optimized well. If not, a refund is an option on either Steam or GOG. As of now, that doesn't exist on the PS Store. So, to me, PC as the first option seems like the safest bet. As an aside, it's currently the number three best-seller on Steam. Three and a half months from release. Wild.

I like discs. So if I get it I'm getting the physical PS4 version.

I'd get the PC version, but I want to know if it'll support a Saitek X52 and I want to be positive the PC port's not butt. I'm ok with the price, but it's gotta be able to use the HOTAS.

PC version without question. Mainly because I don't have a PS4 and my desktop is hooked up to my tv in my room.

Also, probably just the standard retail version. I just can't bring myself to enjoy having all that extra shit. Gimmie the standard game in a standard box, thank you very much. Though I'll have to reconsider this whole buying game discs thing I'm going for on the PS4 again. I mean, it's not that hard swappin discs, and the times I load up one thing for 5 minutes only to quit and jump around to other shit, there's a bigger problem there than convenience.

I would really like to get that PC limited edition, but I want to play it on my PS4, so that special edition. And I also just got a 60 inch TV (up from 40) so I kind of want to do everything on it.

It's no contest. The PS4 has SUPERCHARGED PC architecture while the PC just has regular PC architecture.

Yep, the artwork for the game is absolutely stunning. I makes me wish that Roger Dean would do video game cover art again.

PC mostly because that's my only option at this point.

I am a PS4 player but the possible mods for the PC version really makes me want that instead. I can't wait for someone to make Star Wars, BSG, Macross, Gundam, or Star Trek ship mod for this.

I'm actually exactly the opposite. I want the PS4 Limited Edition with the art book, but I will only play it on a PC. So, I'll probably just get the GOG version.

Just built a new PC and since it has a similar feel to Minecraft it'll be on that platform.

Just as a side bar GOG is probably my favourite online store. If they offered the same selection as Steam I'd be on there way more often.

A friend of mine is going to play it on PS4 while I'm going to play it on PC. He wanted the special edition stuff though so I offered to buy the game code from him so he can have the PC special edition and play it on PS4. Why don't you two just swap codes?

@mikey87144: Nah, I'm good. I kind of want the content of both editions haha, but I'm fine the PS4 stuff. Anyway, there's nobody selling it in Canada, as of yet. Appreciate the thought.

At $60 for the game, does that mean Hello Games is now in the leagues of other major studios?

PC. Also, I bought the crazy $150 edition because I'm a sucker for good vehicle and spaceship models.

My only worry about getting it for the PC (which I am) is given the nature of the game..where what I do gets uploaded to a server for other people to run into..

..like does that mean someone's gonna release a hacking program that goes "This account has visisted planets 1-1 trillion and named them all 'rick roll" also, mined them of all resources'.

I doubt it but..I mean someone somewhere will think doing that kinda thing is funny...

Waiting until release to see performance. The LOD pop-in as you approach planet surfaces on the PS4 version seems to be pretty in-your-face, and if it makes a big difference I'll likely go PC because of it. I'm sure it'll continue to improve by release, though, so if it's not too big of a difference I'll probably go PS4.

I get the sense they've been targeting PS4 as the "main version", given the support from Sony. So I'm guessing the PC version won't add that much. Ps4 it'll be for me.

I built a nice PC and don't have a ps4 yet.. So PC if this turns out pretty good
