I'm not a liberal or conservative but I'd have to say O'Bama in this election. At least he'll get us out of the hopeless mess that some people like to call a "war" and get our troops back where they belong.

I'm Canadian so it doesn't matter too much either way but I'm pretty sure Obama will win. McCain seems like the kinda person who likes war.

No real difference or change will occur with two old school political parties. None.

The only way to get real change into the system to vote for a true independent candidate. Sadly, none stand out to me. So...

McCain gets my vote.

Obama has done nothing.  He votes present in congress so that he never has to take a tough side on an issue.  He uses his rhetoric to his advantage.  McCain just isn't as good a speaker.  However, McCain has a track record of working for this country.

I agree with you MB. It seems like people only like Obama because they think he will be "a change," without regarding any of his credentials... And probably a lot don't even care what his stances are, they just want "change." Kind of pathetic if you ask me, but what do I know, I think it doesn't matter who you vote for.

I didn't realize that 'guilt by association' or 'sins of the father' were the only things that matter when casting a vote. Granted, it's your vote, so do with it as you wish.

side note: You do realize that McCain is hated by many of the right wing/hard core conservatives in the Republican Party, right? They call him 'too liberal.' Please keep that in mind when you attempt to claim "he is exactly like the other"

Well I am not sure about Obama, but I know I that I won't vote for McCain...so unless Obama says something that makes me a "believer" ...I just won't vote again, but it doesn't matter because I live in IL. It always goes Democratic, not to mention that Obama is from this state...

It's not like McCain is going to be any different. Sparks war with Iran, raises taxes, just like Mr. Read My Lips back in '89.

Republicans take your money and give it to the rich. Democrats take your money and give it to the poor. Philanthropy has never hurt anyone.

And we will need higher taxes when we keep spending more money and keep getting further into debt because are country is run by idiots. I am not exactly for raising taxes for everyone...specifically the poor and middle classes-ish ...but raise that shit for the rich...at least tax them something. I never understood why the rich get these tax breaks.

Some of these rich people also go to jail, for tax evasion, hence Wesley Snipes.

I know there are economies worse than ours...but this is not discussion about the world...it's about the 2008 election...this isn't some "oh we poor Americans...boo hoo hoo" stuff. Sorry, I'm just not in the best mood right now.

Sen. Obama. We need course change in this nation and we need to repair our standing with the international community. The War Oil Wars also need to be shifted back to the war on terror as well. A vote for McCain is a vote for 4-8 more years of the Bush/Cheney administration.

This is why that stunt Obama pulled in Germany backfired on him and made him look like a fool, while McCain stayed in the United States where be belongs and made an appearance outside a German store.  Genius.

Lol, despite what you may think son we do not own the planet...yet. I've been to war with our allies. Even if their guns aren't ask big as ours we need them for trade negotiations, land use, pressuring other nations without war, etc. Take it from a former soldier not everything can be solved through warfare and our word alone. Everyone need friends, even The United States of America.

Bob Barr. It is time to cut the bipartisan crap, and elect someone who will do something. I'm a registered republican, but with McCain moving left every day, I find him being president less appealing. The last thing he had going was his promise not to raise taxes (something I was skeptical of, anyways) with that gone, I'm voting for Bob Barr.

First of all, don't talk down to me by calling me "son".  It's rude, condescending, and I won' t stand for it.

Second, I don't want the United States to "own the planet".  I think we need to withdraw the majority of our troops stationed around the world, including a strategic withdrawal from Iraq.  We then need to secure the border and use our military to prevent the millions of illegal alien invaders from flooding across the border like they have been for the last twenty years.
