Hmm... I remember that one. I didn't make it past the OP. I turned it off as it started. If I recall it was a very short opening that managed to focus on the characters breasts and ass for no reason other then to be an example of why anime is starting to bug me.

You guys are missing perhaps the most well written shounen, but I don't blame you for dropping the anime considering that it's adapting the part where the manga was nearly cancelled.

It gets so good after that. But yeah, if you don't like fanservice then you probably won't like Medaka Box.

Maybe I'll check out the manga.

I don't know, maybe it's just me who is a complete sucker for 4th wall breaking and self-referential humour.

Honestly, I just can't help but like a shounen that pokes fun SO HARD at shounen tropes as Medaka Box does sometimes (especially towards the end of Ajimu's arc).

Don't get me wrong, if I had to pick a Nisio Isin work I've read that I consider the weakest it'd be Medaka Box. I very much consider it dumb fun.

@Cloudenvy: Those episodes mainly for core character introductions. But after that, they are, like, waiting in a line on the Wii's launch day, but the store doesn't have enough Wii's, so they have to battle it out to get one by playing video games in a tournament against the Shinsengumi guys. And stuff like that.

But I'm not gonna force you to watch it. At least you tried.

It's basically an 80s buddy cop show with the Gurren Lagann cast, which fits almost a little too well.

All 11 episodes are up on either Funimation's youtube channel or Hulu.  The acting is...not that great actually, but it is a very, entertaining watch because it is CRAZY hilarious.

Just finished Kids on the Slope and man, how that ending was so rushed. Felt like they cut a lot of events about halfway through that final episode. I'm like, that's it? That's your big finale? I don't know, I don't buy it. It's too bad. I liked the first part because it had emotional content, and then just falls apart afterwards.

Great show to an otherwise disappointing ending. Would've given it an 8 or 9, but it's a solid 7 I guess.

I see the rushed thing, but I personally thought the whole series felt pretty rushed so the ending didn't stick out to me.

Went back and watched the anime version, and it seems like that ends at the halfway point of the live action one. A lot of the smaller details were changed but the general plot remains the same between the two, which leads me to believe season two will have the second half of the live action plot. That means episodes far more insane than the 3 Day Lock-in Festival are in our future.

That sounds great. Probably going wait on watching the live action adaptation, though. I am really just interested in season two of the anime.
