They can be hit and miss, but I always find enjoyment in their ad reads.
One time I listened to the ad-free podcast accidentally, and I missed their ad reads. Some of them can be downright excellent.

Loads. Every time someone asks about the premium feed and adding it to a podcast app a lot of answers will be "just listen to the free version! Like me!"
I still do but I tend to skip the ads now. When they first started they were hilarious but now I'm kind of over it. Though obviously they are way better than other sites ads
I listen to free beastcast because the feed on my podcast app broke at some point and I was too lazy to fix it
Yes, they come straight to my phone that way, and i'm too lazy to change it. I really don't mind the ads.
I listen to the ads. How else will I learn about three layered mattresses by mail and living with monster girls.
I do, but I skip the ad's. Despite the fact it would likely be less effort to just download the premium version.
Yup. Im not sure if it actually gets them more ad money or not, but I do it anyway just in case.
Question: does anyone know how paying for ad space on a podcast works? Is it a flat payment based on where the ad is placed in the show, how many downloads the episode got, how many hits the advertisers site got from a link, how many people used an offer code, etc? I've always been curious about this.
my podcast app just grabs the free version. I don't find the ads that annoying. It would take more effort to download premium or skip the ads. I don't want to think about it after I click play.

this.
I've only just swapped to the premium feed despite having been a premium subscriber for a long time. I never really minded the ads and I really liked the older 'small business man' ads, but I've become bored of them lately
They don't bother me at all. I listen to a lot of podcasts, and they all have them. It's just sort of how it is. I think they bothered me when it was first becoming a trend to run ads on podcasts, but the hosts have all gotten way better at it. Or, I've just gotten way better at ignoring it. Either way, whatever.
I like what Giant Bomb does with adds. It obviously makes it a lot more personal and makes me feel less dirty about my wanton consumerism. On a similar note, MBMBaM does a really good job with their adds. Always a good laugh because they do them pretty off the cuff.
I don't like ads but I like how they're read on the Bombcast, they're like mini comedy skits.
As for the the Beastcast, I listen to the premium version, for some reason I did't enjoy the ads there.
I used to listen to the ads but punched out after there was a glut of Fantasy Sports ads. Those were the worst ads for an even worse company.
Haven't really been back to check. Have the Fantasy Sports ads gone?
I do. I pay to support the site and I know that the ad numbers help. I just skip them 90% of the time anyway but sometimes I like to listen to them.

I haven't heard any lately.
Count me as one of the ones who listens to the ads by choice. Otherwise I would miss stuff like the Crunchyroll ad at the start of August 25th's show, and Vinny's Secret Hitler ad from December 1st. (2h 20m)
Yeah, I mean not every ad is comic genius or anything, but I almost always find at least some amusement in them, even if they are for products I would never ever use [Draft Kings(I think it was?), ect]. And sometimes they are just downright wonderful.
To me they are almost a fundamental part of the bombcast now.
