a little. more because of what i will miss and won't get to see how the human race advances or destroys itself.
but i refuse to use religion or God or any kind of superstitious nonsense as a band aid to help me sleep easy a night.

Are you afraid of death?
I used to be afraid of death, then one day I caught death in front of the mirror wearing my mother's dress and stiletto heels. Just goes to show you that the grass is always on the other side of the fence.
No, but I don't relish the idea of missing out on what the future holds. It makes me sad more than afraid.

A vast nothingness at the end of your brief existence doesn't get to you in some way? Just think about it... uuhg.
Try saying that after you've had a legitimate brush with death.
What was your brush with death Hailinel?
Pneumonia and a fever so bad I thought I'd seriously die from it.
Death fucking terrifies me.

Death is not something to be afraid about since it is the only factor that connects us all together. It doesn't matter if a person is a janitor, billionaire, or president of U.S., at the end we are all going to cease to exist. It is because of death we are able to partake in at least one communal experience at the end of our lives. Truly a utopian concept.
We have so much difficulty living together but we at least get to die together.
Live Together, Die Alone
I'm not afraid of death itself, because it's inevitable. What I am afraid of is the way I'm going to die.
I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of dying prematurely before I can accomplish all of the things I want in life.
Quod fuimus, estis; quod sumus, vos eritis (What we were, you are; what we are, you will be).
Not sure. I know I never used to, but lately things have gotten pretty good and I have something to lose. I'd rather not die and miss out on what I've built for myself, but I don't know if I'm actually afraid of it.
Having almost died twice now already, my fear of death has been greatly diminished. I voted "No," but only because that was the closest option to how I feel about it.

Pneumonia and fever is a nasty combination. You see things that aren't there. I was hospitalized as a child with a very high fever. I saw a lot of strange things. My parents were scared and that scared me.

No, but I am afraid of going out in tons of pain and agony. I want to die peacefully when it's my time to go.
This is pretty much how I feel about it.
If it's of old age no, we're all going to die. It would be like being afraid of the next time you get hungry. You know it's going to happen and there's nothing you can do about it so you might as well live with it, excuse the pun. Now dying of unnatural causes like being murdered or some accident that would be terrifying.
