At first I thought I broke Giant Bomb...

But then I found out I was just dumb.
 
I went to get my ER fix but I couldn't get any sound with the video. I thought it might have just been the one, but the L4D2 quick look had the same problem. I went to youtube and a couple of other media sites and they worked no problem. Then I thought maybe it was a problem with the streaming videos, so I switched to progressive, but STILL no sound.
 
I wondered if this had something to do with GB being down for a while this afternoon, since I hadn't watched any of the videos since it happened, so I went to the bug report forum and started to write up a post.
 
Then I looked really carefully at the soundless video I was trying to run.
 
I had the volume slider all the way to the left.

This happens to me around 5 times a day, I also walked into the garage to find my dog cutting my breaks. The difference between you and me? I follow the rules and don't post spam about it.

I'm seriously not trying to do this for the quests. I just thought it was funny and I was REALLY frustrated since everything else I tried with all my other media worked, yet something so damn simple had me stumped for half an hour.

Man, it's so difficult to post new topics without being randomly accused of spamming for the quests. This topic being a case in point. Almost makes me want to avoid the forums all together.

The people complaining about people quest spamming are worse than the people who are spam questing. But the people who complain about the people who complain about people quest spamming are great. I thought the story was a chilling tale of the dangers of lowing audio on flash based videos. This is a warning I'll take to heart while posting in this topic which obviously isn't spamming but a legitimate topic. But to be fair, bears are cool. But having an avatar of a bear? I'm undecided.
