I dunno, now that it's been mentioned I might try the mayo next time I make a breakfast burrito. It can't be that bad.

Mayo is eggs and oil. A breakfast burrito will have BOTH of those already- eggs and fat. Open you mind man...don't go through life like a 'Dan'.

Breakfast burritos were a staple of my childhood and are grossly underrated by society. I actually in the recent past considered opening a small food truck that just does breakfast burritos. They're motherfucking delicious.

Yes, but chorizo is a must for me. Potatoes are optional. A little sour cream is okay, but I tend to stay away from cheese in my breakfast burritos.

Nope. I like mayo in plenty of things, but mayo in a burrito is an abomination.

I don't make them as much as I should (because I make burritos so often at home) but they're really fantastic. I just put spicy sausage in mine as well.

I never would use mayo but I'm certainly not against it. I dip my fries in mayo so I'm certainly one of these people that's against it. Just not in my Mexican food.

I have never had a burrito but simply being a fan of the site for this many years I feel I should track one down just to...just to know. Right?

You had me until mayonaisse, which I like fine but not on a breakfast burrito. Also, I never add cheese to uncurdled eggs. Something happens...I don't know what, but it isn't eggs with melted cheese anymore, it becomes it's own thing. I always add cheese just before the eggs are done and it melts fine that way. I don't know what Salsa Valentina is but its probably good.

all you need is scrambled eggs and some bacon in a burrito, don't understand why you would put other nasty shit in it.

I like egg burritos because I love the concept of breakfast food, but recently came to the realization that the taste of eggs sickens me and egg burritos ensures that I can still eat breakfast without having to taste fucking eggs.

All my egg burritos are usually like 1 egg per 20lbs of meat and/or vegetables covered in siracha mayo.

I'm not a big "breakfast food" kinda guy but I'll make time for a good breakfast burrito. I do the typical sausage-egg-and-cheese burrito but add onions, green peppers, and salsa to the mix. It gives the whole thing a bit more flavor than just a straight egg, cheese, and sausage mix. The salsa is really great too. I thought salsa on eggs was super gross until I tried it, but now its one of my favorite things. You should try it if you haven't already!

I never tried that. I like mayo but the usage sounds oddly suspect in this case. Putting eggs.. in eggs? I dunno.

I eat pancakes for breakfast (like 1 or 2 reheated home made pancakes) every day.

I don't really eat egg burritos, and that's mostly because I don't keep tortillas on hand very often. I do, however, keep a lot of hot dog buns, so sometimes I'll scramble up some eggs, shove them in a bun, add a little salt. A delicious treat.

@travisrex

@ichthy: who wants a sugar sandwich? NOBODY.

Speak for yourself. Sometimes I'll spread some peanut butter on a slice of bread and put some hersey's bars on another, and make myself a PB and chocolate sandwich.

I have never had a burrito with egg in it that I liked. I think it's probably because you need lots of cheese to make it work, and I'm not much of a cheese guy. I'll take a steak and bean burrito stuffed to the brim with tomatoes any day.

I used to really like breakfast burritos (mostly because they're usually way cheaper than normal burritos), but I developed an egg allergy (along with a dairy allergy/lactose intolerance) in college, so I can't eat any of that stuff anymore.

Yeah, I woudl try mayo, but I think some Cilantro Crema (sour cream, cilantro, little chili and little onion) would be better.

One of the good things about living in Texas is that you can find bomb ass burritos just about anywhere
