EGM RIP PDF

Well, at least it's a little better than to have a cover of the Chun-Li spinoff movie.

Street Fighter IV AND Riddick is always good times in print - except when this happens...

Sigh....still sad to see such a quality magazine go to waste...

On the 1up podcast with all the fired people: they mentioned printing off 100 or so magazines and auctioning them off.

It's sad to see 'em go. I wish everyone the best of luck.

That is great to hear. Though it is sad to hear it is actually gone, and with a Wolverine story? At least they will have the SFIV one available somehow.

I think it's a totally depressing shame. But I look forward to the last one. Everyone will get to enjoy it.

In the next month section of the final print issue, the caption reads "Hell freezes over". Kinda apt also.

The Final Round :(

Literally 1 day after I renewed my subscription. The 1up editors(now former 1up editors) will always be some of my favorite people ever and a lot of them have been a huge inspiration for me. I really look forward to seeing what they do next. Best-case scenario= Giant Bomb just got bigger. Maybe? Pretty please.

That Street Fighter cover would be an epic finisher.

I let my sub expire in October there just wasn't enough to make me want to drop the cash to keep it going, by the time it popped up in my mailbox most of the news was old anyway.
If anything I'll miss their threatening "Resubscribe" letters more than anything.

They should have let the last issued be printed, to say good-bye.

Ziff not even giving them the dignity to end on a high notes makes it clear that the people behind this decision were not passionate about games at all.

I think it's pretty safe to say that all the decisions surrounding this were 100% buissiness and finance related.

Nintendo Power and EGM were my end all sources for video games news as a young lad, before the internet caught on at least.  A sad day indeed.

This Wolverine game better be friggin awesome.

I can actually go to a printing press and print them out if I have the PDF files. I don't think EGM will really mind, as they're kind of not in business anymore.

I wish them luck because they 'll need it !  -sigh -

Yeah I wish they were allowed to print off their last issue at least. The first EGM I ever read was about Street Fighter II on the SNES, so this would be a fitting way to say 'Final Round!' to the mag.
