The other day I watched Fight Club for the first time in a few years now, and damn, I forgot just how good that movie was. Of all the infinitely quotable, infinitely cynical dialogue, the part that struck the biggest chord with me was the ending. The use of Where is my Mind? by Pixies was a brilliant touch, and the reassuring but equally disturbing last lines spoken by Edward Norton were some of the best lines in the whole film, to me at least.

If you've seen the movie, there's an obvious reason as to why this Youtube clip can't show into the ending credits. It's sort of a shame, since I think the song and the movie's end really blend together to leave an impact on the viewer long after the theater lights have turned back on, or in this case, when the Blu-Ray gets put back on the shelf.

What are some of your favorite movie endings? They don't have to be twists or anything, just something that you thought was particularly well done.

Yeah, I'm glad I gave it a second viewing. Definitely one of the best films of the 90's.

  Snatch
It's not the ending, more the beginning of the end.

Barton Fink

It just ends, you know? No real resolution, tons of loose threads that don't get tied up, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Makes you realize that you sometimes have to accept the fact that you may never know the answers to certian questions.

Brilliant.

Ah good choice. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and RocknRolla are also awesome. Actually, pretty much any Guy Richie movie.

The Usual Suspects, Arlington Road, and Memento are my favorite movie endings ever.
