Favorite Stand-up Comedian/Act

Share your favorite stand-ups in this thread. I've taken quite a liking to Louis C.K, Dave Chapelle during the early 00's and George Carlin.

I could list off a bunch of straight stand-up guys I have / do love - Russell Peters, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams ect ect but I'll throw this out there instead

george carlin in the 90s n 00s, also chris rock before he became political.

Louis CK, Dave Chapelle, Bill Burr, Patric O'Neal (RIP) are my favorites... now. It's tough. I love stand up a lot and I've had my favorites all time like Chris Rock, Dave Attell, Bill Cosby... but right now these are my dudes.

I think Bill Burr is really underrated. Out of all the stand ups really out there touring right now, the only one I think you could say is better is Louis CK (but I prefer Burr). He is incredible live. He also has a great podcast.

Agree with you on C.K. & Carlin. I also Like Eddie Murphy, Patrice O'Neal, Jim Jeffries, & Mitch Hedberg. I have others, just can't think of them.

ANYTHING Aziz Ansari, absolutely love him...

@Coombs: He is on this season of Californication. I was wondering who he was. He is pretty funny on that show. He is basically that Character.

Mitch Hedberg, Marc Maron and Anthony Jeselnik.

The legendary guys aside.

anthony jeselnik, has to be my favorite. his dark anti humor has me in stitches. louise ck is ok, he's like a "sort of funny" jerry seinfeld, who incidentally wasn't very funny.

Maybe he's just not funny now, I can't say for sure, I haven't seen anything after Bigger and Blacker. Overall good taste in this thread so far. I'll throw out a few unmentioned ones:

I like Paul F Thompkins, Mike Birbiglia, Louis C.K., Demetri Martin, Daniel Tosh, and all the classics. I try and avoid the ones that get too political, which can be very difficult.

Eugene Mirman is pretty funny.

You guys have Louis CK pretty well covered, but he gets my vote.

Came in to post some Ricky Gervais, Eddie Izzard and Billy Connolly, but Fattony12000 already posted some great things with those three, so check out his post.

Another favorite of mine is a Dane (Christian Fuhlendorff), so there's no point in posting his stuff.

My personal favorite is Jim Gaffigan. I do have a long list I could go through, but I'll just leave it to one.

Same here, although I admit I don't think I've seen any of his regular standup. People keep talking about how great Louie is, but I tried watching it and couldn't make it more than 5 minutes.

This thread is great, I need more comedians to check out. Bill Burr is easily my favorite right now, you should watch his specials on Netflix!

I picked up Kyle Kinane's two albums a few weeks ago and they absolutely blew me away. Best stuff I've heard in awhile.

I'm actually not much of a stand-up fan, but I am going to see Craig Ferguson in a couple of weeks- can't wait, I love that guy.
