This just started a couple of weeks ago, check the first episode out for yourselves to see what you think. It may have some potential.
Also look out for Stan Lee's cameo.

Also, the first Anime I have ever seen set in America, feels kind of weird.
HEROMAN - Stan Lee's Anime Series
It's got potential. Besides, a superhero that looks like the The Michelin man on roids is pretty different.
Feels a lot like the iron man cartoon that's on nickalodeon. You know the one, where they're all in high school for some reason and Tony isn't a womanizing alcoholic bent on serving justice, making money and sexing everything with a nonpustile hole within a 100 yard radius.
But that's okay, because this is new and kinda odd looking and by bones and has a good soundtrack and is well animated and yaddayaddayadda. I'll keep watching it.
Gunsmith Cats is set in Chicago and is supposed to be pretty awesome.
Two parts of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (part 2: Battle Tendency and part 7: Steel Ball Run) are either partly or fully set in America as well. (Well, America and alternate Universe America where everyone in the 1800's wore neon coloured clothes) and I can confirm those are awesome.
Baccano is set in early 1900s America as well and is also great. If you try any of these vague semi-recommendations try this one.
But yeah, Heroman. It was a nice idea but kind of simple.
@popogeejo: Sometimes simple is good
