I have and iPod, and I am planning on getting a external hard drive, so I can store all my music on there. But with iTunes, whenever you move a file from one folder to another, it always tells you to find the folder that you moved it to. But I don't want to have to locate the file for a few thousand songs. What should I do so I don't have to do this? Should I uninstall iTunes, move my music to the other hard drive, and re-install iTunes?

copy and paste ur music to ur ipods HD, dont cut, and no u go to file "Add Folder to Libary" and add your music from the file on ur usb drive

Also u can copy music off ur ipod transfer via by going to View file options "show hidden files" then  ipod_control and music then copy and paste it on another machine or ur usb drive
