The moon.  It takes too long to get to Mars.  Besides I want to go to the amusement park there. "We're sailors on the moon..."

I do, but would say neither too. Our Solar System is boring. There is nothing there worth exploring. Now if someone asked me to come look at the end of a sun, I'd be in.

Mars has 3 breasted prostitutes and Quatto while the moon only has Sam Rockwell and a computer that sounds like Kevin Spacey. Sure Sam Rockwell is one of my favorite actors but  3 breasted prostitutes trumps dude who was awesome in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind .
So I am getting my ass to Mars.

Probably Mars, as we have already landed a decent amount of people on the moon. By being able to easily explore mars, we could possibly find out much more about space, and other planets than we could have before. Beyond that, it would also serve as a jumping off point to get to planets even farther away, allowing us to investigate them as well.

The Moon, because even though it's quite barren it still has that mystique and allure that it's always had. Sure, Mars has been important in mythology as well, but the Moon is simply majestic. Plus you can get a great view of Earth from up there!

I have to admit that Mars would be freakin' awesome. But The Moon seals the deal for me simply because you'd be able to see the Earth from a far away vantage point. Knowing that you are up there and everyone else is "down there" would be so beyond mind blowing. I'd also love to see The Earth in the same position as we see The Moon. The other reason is because I think the monochromatic nature of The Moon, nearly all black and white (seemingly, grays, no real color) set to the backdrop of the Earth's bold colors, would look extraordinary.

I thought it was extremely interesting when the guy from ThatGameCompany talked about his new game Journey and how he was inspired by a shuttle pilot he talked to. And even though the pilot hadn't been on The Moon himself, he knew people who had been. And he said that it changes you. They come back spiritually and emotionally changed. I find that fascinating.

That's insane to me. I can't comprehend how anyone could not find space exploration fascinating. I think it's not only fascinating, but important. I hope that Obama changes course on that aspect. I still think manned missions back to the Moon and Mars should be a goal. Even if it's pushed back till the economy recovers.

Going to an other planet is different than landing on your planet's moon.  It feels more symbolic.

Mars. If there's going to be alien technology hidden anywhere, it's Mars. That's where they found it in Mass Effect.

Neither seem that appealing to me at the moment.
Seriously, the vegetation, population and level headed technology is why I came here, why would go to those places when they have neither of those things?

Also the food, the food is good.
