Too many characters normally ends up a problem-the characters aren't developed.
Too much storytelling-and the game might not feel game-y enough.
Is there anything you can't have too much of?
In gaming, is there anything that you can't have too much of?
Too much gore.
Too much violence.
Too much shooting.
Too many people to beat up.
Beat them ups and FPS are too much.
Also, CREDITS!!!!!!!! These days, game credits are longer than a half-hour TV show. Well almost. One game had a credit scroll that lasted 20 minutes, 2 minutes shy of a TV program.

"An infinite amount of gore would actually be hilarious to watch. BUt then it would kil games trying to be all serious, and get old. Too much shooting-what do you mean? Too many people to beat up either means the game will be ultra button-mashy, or too hard.
You do understand we're talking about how there is nothing in gaming that you can have too much of, not how you can't...right?
Do you mean to say "can have too much of" or "can't have too much of?" As phrased, the question implies that you're asking what we love in games and can't get enough of. But in your examples, you seem to say "can have too much of," meaning you've... oh, never mind.
Like Driadon, I love loot-based RPG's. I also tend to love most every turn-based RPG out there to some degree, and will generally sink in way more hours than I should, even into the crappy ones.
" Too much of anything is usually a bad thing. Edit: Reading this again, man, the title of this thread and the OP are contradicting themselves. "He really is, but that's ok I guess. As long as nobody else notice it :P
Other than that, I agree with OmegaPirate
You can never have too many voice clips for stuff that happens commonly. IE: enemy death sounds, random stuff NPCs on the street say, things for Claptrap to yell out when I'm checking the bounty board, etc.
There can never be too many...
Enemies on screen.
Exploding heads.
Dead bodies.
Guns.
Pyrotechnics.
Dust clouds.
Bullet tracers.
Polygons.
Pixels.
Normal maps.
Shaders.
Physics objects.
Dynamic lights.
Destructible walls.
Gigantic boss battles.
Violent execution animations.
Cute blob creatures.
Lines of non sequitur dialogue.
Shrubberies.
Price drops. Cant have enough of those.
Demos, every game released should put out a demo.
There are too many JRPGs and not enough real rpgs. Games where you play some boy that looks like a girl and has to find his destiny with a friend who is a summoner are all too common. How about more games like Oblivion and Dragon age, mass effect?

I get sick of that. The characters in JRPGS are getting so generic looking its not even funny.
