Senior in high school. Probably playing Wolfenstein 3D on my new Tandy 386 PC [okay, I can't remember if it was a 386 or 486 at this point], along with the same old Sierra adventure games that I've been playing since I got my first IBM-compatible PC. Gabriel Knight. Space Quest. Quest for Glory. Probably Betrayal at Krondor. Seventh Guest. Myst. I don't think I can play Sim City 2000 because I don't have enough RAM (which I would get my first week at college). Lamenting the end of the hair-band era, but immensely enjoying grunge and "alternative" music: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana. Still listening to my 80s guitar heroes: Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson. Even today, I can't listen to Joe Satriani's The Extremist without associating it with playing games on that Tandy PC. Especially Wolfenstein. Strong associations also with my Ibanez guitar and first Marshal amp.

LOL, no fucking way. I did the same thing. Playing star Fox, Core was my first CD (my mom took it because it was "devils music") and I was playing the hell out of Doom back then.
I'm trying to olly and failing, so around my friends I'm doing shovits cus its the only trick I can do consistently. Also, collecting Slammers. Not Pogs, fuck Pogs.
I'm in China, watching Ultraman, Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru, and Robotech. Its kind of weird considering there was still some pretty strong anti-Japanese animosity at the time, that so much Japanese media was already making its way across, far more so than the US eve years later.

And I am 5 yrs Old, but not in School yet. Playing something awesome i'm sure! No video games tho... I didn't have video games until the Donkey Kong box edition of the SNES came out.
To the original poster, I don't think Star Fox was out quite yet. I remember getting it for my birthday that year in April. I was probably playing a lot of Super Mario Kart at home and trying to play Mortal Kombat at the local putt-putt golf place, which is now a Zaxby's.
