Jeff is moving up in the Hip Hop/Rap world. Is he the real G.O.A.T.?
I like Jeff, he is a good rapper. But I think that he has much to learn still if compared to the one and only GOAT, SUPER HOT FIRE.
The Beastie Boys and MF Doom are the only rappers I've ever listened to a full album of. No Run DMC, MC Chris, Chuck D? Even Will Smith for the Fresh Prince Theme? I'm guessing whoever rapped on the greatest rap song of all time, didn't make the cut either....
@dray2k: but he's not a rapper.
@rosesaredan: I have never been owned this hard. I can't win against the truth :D.
I can't take Jeff's reverence for hip-hop seriously when I hear him go to bat for an asshat like Riff Raff. No love for Tech-nizzle (Tech N9ne)? He's not my favorite but I can't think of much of his stuff I've heard that I haven't liked. For me it might be between Ice Cube or Ludacris who have had decent film careers on top of being provocative characters in hip-hop who I generally enjoy. Obviously others have been in movies and TV, just not in a particularly memorable capacity beyond just playing themselves. Some of these guys have become more famous for their reputation than their music in my opinion. Others are probably more skilled as entrepreneurs or producers than as hip-hop artists. In the end it's still showbiz, so if I'm to consider someone a greatest of all time they damn well better be showy, whatever that means.
@development: Jeff's moniker is "US Pipe"
The minute I posted this, I hated myself for forgetting MF Doom, Staples, Tyler, Black Thought, Tech N9ne, Aesop Rock, Hospin, and D'Angelo.
The votes for Eminem have me rolling my eyes.
The COD of the hip hop world lol
I mean who could forget this hip hop classic
Is that Rick 'The Ricker" at 1:37? A legend.
The votes for Eminem have me rolling my eyes.
Glad I'm not alone.
He's like Hip Hop version of the edgy rock bands from the late 90s/early 00s.
