We have a book club over at goodreads, There's only 19 members now and we're not very active. If a lot of you guys join the club we can discuss what book we should finish by the end or middle of January...however that stuff works. Some rules off the top of my head. We will be discussing spoilers, so you should join the discussion if you finished the book, stopped reading because you thought it was bad, or if you don't care about spoiling yourself. That's really about it, other than try not to insult each other. Join!

Another option if you don't wanna join goodreads is that we choose what we want to read here and I make a thread when the time comes where we can discuss what we've read.

I'm thinking for the first book maybe Reamde?

Because reading is for losers!

Also, are the books that we read all going to have some kind of video game twist to them, like Reamde seems to?

Would being in this "book club" of yours require like, reading? Cause i only read the first sentences of a thread...and subtitles in games.

I am reading Reamde right now, but I read way too slowly nowadays for a book club. Nice idea, though.

Why is that funny? I don't know, but it was pretty damn funny.

Anyway, I say what he said. There's plenty I'd like to read and it's not worth the effort to find people who want to read the same thing when I'm 99% I won't want to read whatever everybody else in the group decides on.

Sometimes I read whatever my wife is reading just to be able to talk with her about it...I've actually read a shopaholic book and the last half of the last twilight book (there was just no way I could do the whole thing). Let me tell you, reading crap because someone else is reading it can really be a lot of not fun.

I like the idea of a GB book club, but I'm really picky when it comes to books and probably wouldn't really enjoy most of the topics. I would like to recommend one that I just started though: The Mysterious Island (Verne - 1874).
