I always wonder if the US would have been the heroes they think they are if they were in Frances' position in WW2. Also they saved Europe but beating the shit out of someone whos already worn out is no major feat. I mean come on! They stepped in when the whole of Europe was completely bankrupt and worn down!
As for the war in Afghanistan, Following a Country that's making a huge mistake is a good call if you ask me.
I might as well add that since WW2 every war USA faught has come out with embarrassing conscequences (AKA defeat). Vietnam? Defeat. Golfe War? Defeat. And even now, the war in the middle east is not going too well.
Besoin d'aide pour des devoirs je suppose ?
PM if you need anything.
@CharleyTony: J'vais te add sur psn si sa te derange pas (pinescentzilla)
I just want to add that when someone talks about the french language, they dont always mean France, the country. French is one of the most used languages in the world (in the top 10).
When someone talks about the english language, does it always mean Great Britain? Grow up guys.
Little known fact: Canada is a "bilingual" country (English and French are the official languages).
If I say something online with a french sounding accent, stop thinking I'm from France.
In exchange, I propose that I will not automatically think that Americans are A-HOLES .... I will do it on a case by case basis... Good luck with that ...
well Im native american ! lol
and I need to learn french
Je n'e parle pas francais parce-que je "suck" at le langue, marci.
The OP asked if there were "Native French" speakers, not if you could speak French. Besides Quebec, North Africa and some smaller former colonies around the world, the vast majority of native French speakers would be from France.
Comparing that with the English language is like comparing apples and oranges.
" French is the number two most spoken language in the world. "I've got it as number 9
" @Vito_Raliffe said:Hmm, yeah, everything I see has a completely different number. Ignore my post! I don't even remember my source, but it sounded so official!" French is the number two most spoken language in the world. "I've got it as number 9 "

I really don't like your way of thinking on this. You CAN compare languages. English is 3rd in the wolrd (after Mandarin and Spanish), French is either 9th or 14th depending on how you look at it.
I would love to hear how many languages you speak fluently...

oh well I was close, I knew it was like a chinese one first and I knew english was second
But I wasnt sure If french was third, idk that guy said it was the second most popluar language
For french language in the world, it is at the most 5th behind English, spanish, Hindi(India) and mandarin(China).
As for people from different places speaking french and not assuming it's french from france, I agree to a certain extent. I've lived in France and Canada and have visited my dad in Ivory Coast and Each country has different accents and more importantly, different vocabulary. In terms of learning french as a second language, French from France is the standard. If you took a test and did a composition like a quebequois, sadly, you would fail because there are alot of differences. A couple examples; saying "Bonjour" (Hello) in Quebec, means goodbye (makes sense with the literal translation bon-jour, good-day). Also a habit Quebequois have is saying something "Comment tu vas-tu?" (How you are you?). If the OP had written that down, he would have been marked down.
Again a couple examples, but it's ok to assume French from France if it pertains to homework.
@Bombs_Away: Just wanted to say no need to act sexist man. It's not cool.
@ChloroformGirl: Just wanted to say, Although many languages are spoken in China, Mandarin is the most spoken. No such thing as chinese language :) (I know that every chinese I've met was grateful I asked if they spoke mandarin instead of Chinese ;) )
@nanikore: The article makes a good point regardless
@FluxWaveZ: En fin de compte, C'est un site anglophone donc c'est pas trop surprenant que les gens ne parlent pas de differentes langues! Faudrait des forums specifiques pour les gens qui ont une langue etrangere (non-anglophone)
