whats the orgin of duder? on GB
Orgin of Duder
I think it's from The Big Lebowski. The direct quote is:
" Look, let me explain something to you. I'm not Mr. Lebowski. You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That or His Dudeness... Duder... or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing. "
Playstation 3, forum?
The only place I've heard Duder outside of GB settings was in the Coen Brothers film The Big Lebowski.
The lead character, known as The Dude, says that "Duder" is one of the many nicknames he goes by, and characters in the film call him "Duder".
That's all I got.
at the end of any GB video it says: "Duder, it's over". When video's didn't work it would immediately come up saying "Duder, it's over", so it's a recurring joke about anything that fails or is just sort of cool (it's sarcastic)
Duder in here originated from the end of each movie where it said "Dude, it's over!".
Though when a movie was bugged it just showed the end image when you pressed play so the comments flooded with "OH NO WE GOT DUDERED!!" or "OH GOD THE DUDER!"
Later on they just changed "DUDE" to "DUDER".
It comes primarily from the Persona 4 Endurance Run, which saw lots of video pages going up before the videos were actually ready. You'd get the "video's over" message, which was "Duder it's over," if I remember correctly. Since everybody would swarm to those pages, they'd be disappointed and make jokes relating to the message.
" Duder Age: Orgins, exclusively for the PS3. Coming this Holiday season! "Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening: Duder
I know that if you try to post or comment after you're banned, you get a message saying "Duder, you're banned!"
So I guess your account is over? Who knows.
" the letter e is next to r on the keyboard. "That's what I think. It's how pwn got invented too.
" Playstation 3? "i have no idea why this is on the PS3 forum, im pretty sure i did set it to Off-Topic
nonetheless
The word "duder" is definitely top on my list of words i hate. It's disgusting. it makes me think of a rotund, college bro who thinks he's super awesome but has no friends and can't maneuver the english language properly.
So if I had to pick an origin of this word, it would be that it was started by someone who fits the description of the aforementioned traits.

My question is, "Why do we still use duder?" We're better than that, and our lexicon should reflect that. From now on, I shall only use "dudest", mainly because it sounds medieval and therefore more badass.

It's from The Big Lebowski. It's a fuckin awesome movie, but I'll admit I never liked the term and it's been run into the ground.
