I am 17 and considering it
Should I join the Army
Afroman is a threat to America and is trying to deceive you.
Do the exact opposite of everything he says.
Get a degree at least, go do ROTC in college and if you want to join you'll at least be an officer. But internet guys<Family Members when it comes to this stuff.

It's your decision more than anything else, but I'll give you one piece of advice that two of my friends who went to join the marine and the army relayed to me. If you ever do join, do so after getting a college degree. Enter as an officer. Being a bottom rung private is not a position you want to be in unless you have no other options.

I would take a year off from school and learning to give yourself some time to rest. Then join. I would join the Canadian Army tomorrow if I could, but because I'm almost blind in my right eye and the size of a whale they would never take me. Just get in a position that stays away from the fighting, and it will probably be some of the best years of your life. I don't know about your country, but mine has some amazing pay and incentives for joining. It's basically a free ride through any college in the country once you are done, all paid for by the Canadian Government. Not to mention the work experience, resume padding and life enrichments that the army will add to your life.
God dam I wish I could join.
I would personally say no, its pretty much killing people for money and fighting the goverments battles.
But hey thats just me and im from New Zealand so we are 'netural'
Do it! I joined the army for about 2 months ago and it's been the best decision I've ever made in my life so far. I recommend it very much!
" That's something you should decide yourself and not by a bunch of random internet guys. "Balderdash! Everything should be decided by a bunch of random internet guys. It's the only way to play.
That said, don't go. If you have the grades and the money, then just go to college.
as your friend for uhh about 10 years now, no, no you shouldn't. But, again do what you gotta do. at then end of the day these internet people, nor i, nor your parents can make the decision for you. Do what you wanna do.
Ask some1 who's been in the military, a recruiter will obviously say yes, join us... that's his/her job...
My father was in Vietnam, he said I'd make a good soldier...
My mother said if I ever try to join she'll shoot me in the leg w/ a shotgun...
Go figure.
In my opinion the best time to join the military is when we are not at war... hah!
We're probably not the right people to ask if Im honest. But then again there's guns in the army so FUCK YEAH!
