I find myself similarly inspired, though perhaps to a greater and more disturbing extent. Here's my attempt at a Shakespearean Sonnet:
I welcome you to Giant Bomb, and hope
you find the time spent here well spent and filled
with pleasure, and not pain. With trolls do cope
I ask, and you might find yourself fulfilled
in the still company of friends and those
who you may not agree with yet still love
to talk, converse, and argue with (in prose,
for verse unwieldy is, games to talk of).
This soft advice I hope you heed and hear
for games are only a beginning here.

As far as I'm concerned, homophones do indeed. But I thought that Shakespearean sonnets were ABBA rhymed, not ABAB?
Not saying this against you, mind; I just had to write such a sonnet for my Creative Writing class and it played fast and loose with iambic pentameter, so I hardly blame you. Quite good, if I may say so myself.
At the place I used to work I would not talk to the new guys until they proved themselves worthy. Prove yourself worthy. NOW!
You know what, never mind. I got a good feeling about you. Hi. Welcome. Beers are in the back. Take as much as you like, because I personally hate the stuff. Just remember, any lady you see in this joint, I got dibs.
Also I had too much fun writing this post. You should see some of the stuff that got cut. Man is it dumb. (it would have to be I mean look at the dumb stuff that made the cut) Are you still there? Hello? Fuck. Alone again.

Upon further investigation the rhyme scheme IS ABAB until the couplet but I am however missing a quatrain.
Still, a worthy effort I think.
