Top 5 favorite TV Shows

I love watching great TV shows. My top 5 in order are:

1. Lost (J.J. Abrams made such a great show with loveable characters, and he just knows how to make characters grow on you)

2. Firefly (Joss Whedon makes only gold)

3. Battlestar Galactica (Series is so exciting, and for a sci fi tv show has great CG)

4.Rescue Me (Great show Denis Leary writes, directs, and stars in. You can tell he is a proud New Yorker who loves the New York Fire Department.)

5.Heroes (Yes I know alot of people don't like it pass the 2nd season, but I believe that's because the first half of the 3rd season involving Villians was one of the worst things ever, but the 2nd half of the 3rd season is actually good. The fourth season I loved.)

I do have an honorable mention which is Flash Forward. I wish this show lasted longer than one season because it was really good and kept me on the edge of my seat. It would of helped fill that Lost void had it lasted more than one season. Also Dexter, because we all know it's beyond awesome.

Firefly, Carnivale, Corner Gas, Scrubs and the Daily Show.

I'm not sure anymore. There are too many great shows, which makes it damn near impossible to choose. I will have to think about it and then I return later, maybe, with some shows.

Glad to see both Oz and Supernatural mentioned so far. Two extremely underrated shows, even though the last season of SPN pretty much was crap.

Of all time? Very difficult. But the top would certainly be Firefly, with Buffy somewhere close behind. BSG would be on that list, too, but I'd have to think pretty hard about it.
 
Current shows? It's difficult to pick out just five, but if I had to: Dexter, Being Human, Chuck, Big Bang Theory, Eureka. I tend to like the Syfy shows, including Haven and Warehouse 13 even though they're a bit cheesy. There are a lot of great shows on right now, a lot of which have already been listed.

the top 4 were easy picks for me, they all completely knock it out of the park, i mainly stuck Spaced in there cos i wanted something from the UK, unfortunately i find UK drama to be mostly a tedious bore, but our comedy is of a much higher quality. when it comes to TV, well made drama tends to resonate with me more than comedy, whilst i do enjoy comedy they are definitely tiered when it comes to overall comparison 
 
with a bit of luck they'll make a few more series of Luther, and i can swap that in instead of Spaced,
