Troy Baker got to be King of Westeros on his B-day.

A bunch of voice actors are in this pic. I assume it's his Game of Thrones themed birthday party. I can recognize some others here, like Troy's Last of Us partner on the right, Laura Bailey, her husband, and that dude what voices many things like Asura's Wrath. Kind of weird how a few of my interests are colliding here in this one pic. I wonder how long this string of success will last for Mr. Baker.

Baker has a great voice and he plays guitar with Akira Yamaoka. I have only the best wishes for him to keep on being awesome.

I actually prefer him to Nolan North although both are great voice actors.

Noooo, no more dumb gimmicky voice actor awards. If anything they should start up an actual Best Voice Performance award in general. Given how stories in games are being brought to the forefront of the medium so often these days, the natural progression would be to start giving voice actors their dues.

Yeah, you're probably right. We'll just make it the "Nolan North Award for Best Male Voice Performance". The female counterpart of course being the "Jennifer Hale Award for Best Female Voice Performance".

Troy Baker plays a fellow named November in the Darker Than Black anime, a character that has a (to my ears) surprisingly good British accent.

It totally is, she's the voice of the girl in the last of us which the OP mentioned, I just didn't realise she was the one voicing Ellie.

That's how I feel every time I see voice actors. It's especially weird knowing that they're all buddies with one another and have Game of Thrones parties, as if they were people.

She was also the voice of Gretchen Grundler off Recess if anyone remembers that show as fondly as I do. She was also on an episode of Wil Wheaton's Table Top on youtube.

And I've had a little mini crush on her since What Women Want. Because yes, I saw that at 10 years old.
