I don't like Daniel Tosh.
What is GB's stance on Tosh.0?
I just enjoy Daniel Tosh, I've loved his stand up material since his first CCP and, honestly, this is probably the best use of his sense of humor. Its a hell of a lot better than Mind of Mencia or that ventriloquist's show. Not all of the jokes hit, but it will usually result in an entertaining video. On top of that, the web redemption concept is incredibly intriguing to me, seeing how the original people not only react to their stupidity (or awesomeness) and then make up for it (or make it better).
One of Comedy Central's better, non faux-news show, programming attempts.
" His show is not funny at all. "This. Though I can say that his stand-up genuinely makes me laugh.
" @VilhelmNielsen said:Indubitably hilarious." Daniel Tosh is hilarious. "Definitely hilarious. "
I think Tosh's stand-up is better than the show, but I still think the show is pretty solid all around. Some of the jokes can be hit-or-miss but I've found it to be pretty enjoyable in the few times I've seen it.
Considering all the hating going on here I'd like to know what current comedians Giant Bomb does support. Gonna go out on a limb and say if you guys don't like "douches" then Joe Rogan is probably out.
Tosh.0 is fine. I'm not usually into the web redemption pieces but his opening bit is usually funny.
I find the show pretty hilarious.
Even though I am on the internet constantly, I don't go trolling 4chan and youtube for videos so most of what he shows is new to me. I think you have to go into the show with the same thought pattern as Tosh does, mainly that this show is a pretty bad idea but he is going to make the best of it by being fucking merciless to all the people in the videos, and just generally have fun.
" I found reading the responses quickly one after the other hilarious. Also, he's ok. Also, let's end this whole bros vs. gamers sentiment that makes it seem like we're locked in some never ending struggle with the jocks from highschool. We're not in a clan. "
Tosh.0 always seems like such a jerk to me. Maybe he's not actually so bad, but I couldn't stand watching his show, even briefly.
As for "mainstreaming memes", if the only reason you think something is funny is because nobody else knows about it, then it's not really funny.
I've only watched a few episodes of the show but all of them came across as really awkward to me. I got the impression that he was just a random dude in the audience that someone asked to come up on stage and try to be funny for 20 minutes.

I feel like these people worried about their memes are just afraid of scenes like this becoming more frequent. Totally not endorsing that clip or anything but seriously, look at the comments. People act like a part of their soul just died.

I've never seen it, myself. Actually I've seen about 2 minutes of it once, but I don't think that counts.
I love Tosh.0, the racism gets me everytime.

That should be excellent.
